i once went at some event and uhh... which console ran Pong again?
Pretty much all the consoles back then had some version of Pong.
Woah, nostalgia! I had a ColecoVision. Don't think I could get it to work anymore - it had those weird wires you had to attach to an old TV with screws.
That's just a form of coax, you can get switchers to plug into a modern TV. However, there will be a lag if it's going into a flatscreen.
Also, oh man, say yes, kid! It doesn't officially hit the market until next fall!
I'd like to point out that I did lots of research on clothing and store interiors to get the look just right but never thought to look if the damn Coleco came out in 1981 XD
A time shift doesn't have to be perfectly accurate to hit the right vibe! I always love when you do them~
Heh! Reminds me of a photo of when the Gamecube was introduced, captioned, "We have come from the future to taunt you with our superior game consoles."
Good deal for the raccoon -- there's plenty of time to earn some money and buy some stock over the next few years! ("Are you sure you want to spend your allowance on this 'bitcoon' thing?" "It's Bitcoin, dad.")

Honestly not a bad way to start a new life. Would be quite the adventure.
I really like your TFs with time travelling. It add something !
While wearing an Atari shirt. Wrong system? XD
I guess you can have both, tho. It's fun to be a game boy in the eighties and also a raccoon.

I mean obviously I started off with an Atari, this is the next step XD
I thought those were from the same generation! XD
I started off with a Commodore 64 so I missed that generation anyways. My wealthier cousins had a Colecovision as I recall, but that was more of an 'in addition to' thing. XD
What are your favorite games from back then, anyways? I hardly ever think to ask people that. It often feels like games didn't get "Good" until the NES generation, but I had favorite C64 games. Mostly Seven Cities of Gold and Chipwits. Adventure for the Atari was pretty legendary, too.
Speaking of Chipwits, they're back! Again! https://chipwits.com/

Everything pre-NES is grouped together but the Coleco is a significant step up from the 2600 and Intellivision. It's about as good as an Atari 7800, and was p much the basis of the SG-1000, Sega's first console. Also it was marketed by the Connecticut Leather Company and thus comes from my home state! XD
(Outside of this TF) I've never had a Coleco but there's about 30 or so 2600 games I enjoy, mostly from Activision - Kaboom, Frogger, Barnstormer, Stampede, Night Driver, Laser Blast etc. I also admit to being weirdly obsessed with breakout games. Most 2600 games are 15-minute little bites of fun, not really anything you'd want to invest part of an evening in, but there's still some fun to be had there.

That's pretty neat! I have actually seen 'generations' going back before the NES rather than grouping them all. The chart was surprisingly long! I forget where that was, though.
A lot of those older games were pretty simple, there was only so much you could do, but they did a lot with what they had!

This is a super good blend so so many good themes. Definitely like a retro console being a trigger, and having time travel mixed in!
Also, must be super strange suddenly reliving your childhood as the opposite gender... and a raccoon!

Well, I guess you can't exactly call it a retro gaming hobby anymore.
Look on the bright side though, you don't need to mess around with emulators anymore!
Also you're a cute racoon boy now, so there's that too.

quick ask your parents to invest in apple, microsoft, amd, and intel. :P
That transformation seem to came out of nowhere, but the reason is actually quite obvious. As we know, only boys can play video games, not girls, so reality had to adjust itself to prevent this horrible mistake.

I will say, this would definitely be a good setting and could stand up well as a complete comic post-physical transformation long-term mental transformation(over, let’s say a year through school).
Just imagine it!
