Jason Shadow-Walker is a 90s World of Darkness character I played for many years.
Ron Spencer is an artist I've admired since I first saw his works in Werewolf: the Apocalypse and having gotten several pieces from him in the past, I finally got one of my favorite original character.
Jason is pure 90s cheese; he's a weretiger with mage powers, with cybernetics, a spirit-enhanced super-computer-laptop connected over a cyber-jack, futuristic energy weapons, along with the long black ponytail, sleeveless trench coat, katana, necklace, and ribbons on his weapons that flow in the still breeze... because it's cool, damnit. He was overpowered, over-the-top, and pure 90s fun.
I've always loved Ron's pencil work, so when he asked if I wanted it penciled, or colored I asked ... "Can I have both?" and he wonderfully obliged, which is a rare opportunity to compare his styles with the same subject. Notice: it's not just a redraw, there's actually several differences between the two pieces.
When I showed the final to a friend, they said "Now you just need to put him on a black background" and I went "Hmm.. yep. I gotta do that." But putting a character drawn on white onto a black background (especially with fur, and that glowing effect) is challenging to say the least. However, I'm pretty happy with the result and now he sits wonderfully as my desktop's background wallpaper. :)

Major props for getting a commission from the man himself. My first foray into the world of Garou was with Revised, so his pencils left a huge impact on me to say the least.
I've actually had him do quite a few sketches for me, and even had him do a colored character piece for a friend once too. This was the first time he did my OC and I'm so glad I not only have him in full-color, but also in pencil (if you look, there's actually differences between the two.)
I've always loved his pencil work, and I'm so glad to have an example of the same drawing in the two styles. :)
