I was watching Finders Keepers episodes on YouTube yesterday and inspiration struck me to do this because, well, the campy fun of that logo has always appealed to me ever since I first saw it when I was four. No joke: it even appeared in my dreams once. Well, not this one, as it has Sam fox in it. ;)
Finders Keepers, for those who don't know, is one of Nickelodeon's first game shows and premiered in 1987. The premise behind it is hidden objects: playoff rounds involved contestants finding hidden objects in a drawing. Finding them earned them a room in the mock house on set to trash and find another hidden object. The final round involved a mad dash through six rooms in 90 seconds, which actually got pretty intense if time was ticking down and the team was close to winning. The icing on the cake was the catchy and totally 80s rock score by Edd Kalehoff.
Maybe I'll do more like this. :)
Finders Keepers is of course, owned b Paramount these days.

You can still see some on YouTube if you want to take a trip down memory lane, but yeah, it was pretty neat! It's obvious why it didn't take off by Double Dare, but they came up with something unique, at least.
Wouldn't be surprised if it inspired the obstacle course finale on Double Dare or the Legends of the Hidden Temple show.
Finders Keepers came after Double Dare, and with Legends, the direct inspiration apparently was claimed to be Indiana Jones. Still, it is a large set, so maybe they had something like Finders Keepers in mind.
Most games I watched were on Nick in the 90s, like Wild 'n Crazy Kids. The exceptions on other channels were Zooventure, That's My Dog, Masters of the Maze, Maximum Drive, and Cha$e (technically in the 2000s).
