Just finished reading Vonnegut's The Sirens of Titan, and it sure has left an impression on me! Gosh, I agree with his worldview in so many ways, but with one exception: I look at the question of free will and fate somewhat more hopefully than Vonnegut seems to. Nevertheless, I definitely do think that all of us have times when we feel lost or hopeless in the grand scheme of things. So here's a little song about it, complete with references to the book and just a sprinkle of existentialism. Enjoy!
PS: Apologies if this is hot garbage, its my first attempt at a full-ish arrangement (and also I can't sing for the life of me aaahh) sorry!

Lyrics:
I'm lost
In the Martian terrain
And I can't find my way
Through the treacherous plains.
I'm stranded
Across time and space
In an infinite race
Where I can't find my place.
Free falling
The world's upside down
If I turn it around
Will the sky be the ground?
Red rust
Surrounded by dust
As indifferent winds
Blow my mind to the past.
I'm lost
In the Martian terrain
And I can't find my way
Through the treacherous plains.
I'm stranded
Across time and space
In an infinite race
Where I can't find my place.
Free falling
The world's upside down
If I turn it around
Will the sky be the ground?
Red rust
Surrounded by dust
As indifferent winds
Blow my mind to the past.
