Another character that's been referenced before in The Shadowvixen's milieu -- The Equestrian!
I'll let The Shadowvixen herself give you the low-down about him from her earlier AMCA in my gallery: "A dashing stallion whose red and white uniform has graced our city for the past four years. Well-built, strong, fast, enduring, and the finest fighter using fisticuffs I have ever seen. He's also the only one among us who actually has an 'official' standing with the local authorities, thanks to his willingness to work alongside our police forces. He's the one that makes the rest of us seem more 'acceptable' by the local populace."
Aside from his fists and feet, The Equestrian also employs a billy club/shock baton, smoke and gas grenades, and most famously, a bullwhip. Consider him the "Lash Laroue" of his time! He has a code against using firearms (for reasons known only to him), and is a master detective. As often as not, he's called in by the police for his analytical mind to help with cases than for his fighting skills.
A genuine hero in many respects, he nevertheless keeps a wary eye on the other various independent crimefighters around, whom he doesn't necessarily trust for one reason or another. He's not quite of the "this is MY city!" attitude of The Batman, but he does feel that the sometimes violent nature of other vigilantes does as much harm as good for the citizenry, no matter how effective they are at keeping criminals--and master villains--in check.
The Equestrian is © to me, and the art is © to baroncoon Baron Engel, whose bi-weekly art stream you can catch on Picarto every other Saturday, 5-9 PM Pacific Time.

He looks good here.
I must say he holds that attitude because of the general public's bias and fear of supers they don't know about.
He also knows that the citizenry has their view and thoughts of what a super is to be.
So yeah, I can be for him, but also against him because I love Shadowvixen more.

I can't help but think that somewhere, Waarhorse is smiling.
Just like I am. I look forward to future works!
