Always love seeing great scenic art like this show up in my inbox <3
Sweeet! I've been thinking of commissioning an artist for an idea like this, this makes good inspiration.
Whole things amazing, but I gotta say I love the muted "beards" some of those fellas have. They don't look out of place at all.
Wonderful and very detailed pierce! That longship and its crew is a pure joy to contemplate. 🤩
I know these are not... but they look like they're wearing santa hats and that make's me laugh a bit too much
it really look like it lol
but these the usual viking hats

Oh! This is gorgeous. The sea feels so real! I don't know what you did and how you did it but I can hear the water when I look at this!
There's a fantastic mural I wish I could show you. It's painted on the roof and walls of a pedestrian tunnel from a commuter train station a little bit north of Stockholm. The area was under water during the iron age, and archeological finds have shown it to be an important sailing route for the vikings. The mural depicts a viking age sea battle, as it would have appeared if you had been standing there during the battle. A very interesting perspective. Something about your picture brought the mural to mind.
I wanted to show you but haven't been able to find any good photos. I'll keep looking!
Wounderful done, the boat, the atmosphere, the leader/druid.
And no drinking-horns on helmets, YES. 👍
Hint: You got one rudder too many, the Viking with the helmet on portside got two. 😉

Love the lighting and drama of this piece!
My mother told me
Someday I would buy
Galleys with good oars
Sails to distant shores...

Very nice... but, isn't it more efficient to row while sitting the other way around? ;-p
Epic
Beatiful details!
One question - Which way are they sailing?
It looks like they swim in left directoin judging by the position of the rowers

This is stunning! The detail on the prow of the ship is incredible, I could admire it for hours.
Omg, the water, the nails in the ship, everything is done perfect. Beautiful work!
Epic scene! That wolf at the bow is their leader, seer? Fine sharp line work and blustery lighting. :)
I can't be the only one hearing this song as I look at this piece:
Ships on vigor of the waves are skimming
Barren summits to the verdant plains
Each horizon is a new beginning
Rise and reign...
Oh-ho-oh
The echoes of eternity
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Oh-ho-oh
To pluck the strings of destiny
Oh-ho-oh
Valhalla calling me
Valhalla calling me

Ah-ah, ah!
Ah-ah, ah!
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, sing and cry
Valhalla, I am coming
On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore
Ah-ah, ah!
Ah-ah, ah!
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
We are your overlords
On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ahh, ah
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh

Wow details of both ship and water are absolutely fantastic and well done. I love the dramatic vibe it gives me. I can sense the tension and willingness to explore new lands.
