just messing about with his rig. i am really unsure if i will keep working on his model or not. starting a new one is a lot of effort, but this one is restricted by its mistakes.

To him: Hi!!! **Waves back**
To you: It's a really cute rig, though I understand the "restricted by its mistakes" bit. If you start again, it'll be with the knowledge of those mistakes and a better understanding of them.

thanks! we'll see what i can do, i started this model over 2 years ago now and i have failed to finish it.
Mm, I'd say you have *yet* to finish it. Leonardo Da Vinci rarely finished anything.
idk, i don't think that is a valid comparison XD i'm not a genious lol

I like his design idea. You did lovely job with more animal proportions, especially the feet, but also working on a head design (it's not just animal head). It feels well together.
Starting a new one is hard work, but each time you'll do it better and faster :D

We'll see, I'm going to do his clothes and decide if I'm going to finish him up or not.
Super precious -- I think you've nailed a good aesthetic with this guy proportions and style wise!
And yeah I agree with many other commenters here in that starting anew imo is great for self improvement -- each time you do it, it feels less and less like a big deal. Also nothing wrong with not finishing stuff, you can always come back to him later if you desire!

The comments have spoken nothing but positivity and I agree with them.
I've enjoyed watching your improvements on this cutie. Your growth as an artist over years have gained you a tool belt of skills that will aid you in your next project. You know you have improved a lot. Sometimes you have to say something is done. It's not depressing, it's a positive step forward. Its not like he is gone, you can always jump back and fourth if something inspires you and you haven't failed by any means, I see him as he is a good happy boyo that has been thoughtfully hand crafted by you. He wouldn't exist without you. Remember to take pride in your work, in everything you create, that goes for all artists. Keep it up my friend, look forward to seeing what's next.
