Tony got little Leslie ready for the day, getting his baby used to being picked up and changed and dressed, and plopped him down in front of the TV while he took care of some emails. He made sure to cuff his ankle chain to a 100 lb dumbell near the couch, just for this. Leslie aggressively chewed on his paci, as he had taken to doing when he was feeling fussy, but didn't protest otherwise. Progress.
Tony turned on an appropriate show for his little one, then hopped online to see what he would need to do today. The first thing he saw was news updates on his homepage with 'MISSING' written in bold. He clicked on it out of curiosity and couldn't help the delighted chuckle at what he saw.
Staring back at him was an adorable smiling photo of his little angel, though dressed in grungy big-boy clothes. The article detailed his last known whereabouts, that a handful of friends were looking for him, but no mention of him or the park. Perfect.
Leslie glared at him from the floor at the sound of his delight. He curled up in a miserable ball, resolutely not looking at the colorful characters on the TV. He unconsciously suckled on his paci once more. Tony leaned over to pat him on the head. "Nothing for you to worry about, Kitten. Just grown up things."
He went to his email and perused for any new clients. Frank had some Intel on a new hit on the east side this weekend. He could manage that. He wouldn't need a babysitter because he could just slip some sleepy time drugs into Leslie's bottle. He quickly wrote up a coded reply, saying that he would be there with his most reliable weapons.
He closed the laptop and looked down at his sweet, innocent little baby. "I'm going to get your breakfast baba ready, ok pumpkin? You just sit there and enjoy your show." With that, he got up and headed to the kitchen. When he poked his head around the corner a moment later, he was delighted to see the cat boy had turned his head to watch the show out of the corner of his eye. His precious kitten would learn to love his new life in no time.
