"Finally, the big bad shows up!" Framework grinned a broad toothy smile as the grenade exploded a good distance behind him, taking another of the goliath creatures with it. "I call dibs on the first hit!" He unloaded buckshot like a typhoon, caring not a whit for who or what was in the way between him and a good fight. There were others who had decided to storm the tower when the call to action rang out, mages and magic users, blades swinging and spells flinging, but Framework took satisfaction in the simple purity of truth that when you bring enough guns to a fight, that fight becomes a gun fight. "You brought magic rubber goop to a gun fight? Bad choice!"
He could hit from range, sure. "Too slow!" He could even fight close and hand to hand. "Seriously, bring em all on!" But his specialty was enjoying the crunch that an unloading shotgun doled out on any and every target within range of the blast. He knew when to fire, what angle to fire with, and how to do the most damage while leaving himself room to move unhindered. "Hey, druid!" Framework called out to Prestnos. "Do something druidy and give me a lift to jump off of!" He was as loud as his concussion shot bursts were. Chaining one shotgun blast into a rifle into dual pistols into throwing a grenade right at the feet of a cluster and watching the debris and explosion scatter all the Vac-drones.
Framework charged up a slope, flipped in the air, blasted away two Vacbats and landed onto to roll into a backward somersault. "Present for ya!" The drones chasing him didn't even notice the mine left in his wake. Not until it burst, anyway.
BOOM
He laughed, pulling the pin on three grenades and tossing them forward between him and the portal where the Anrachi were summoning their leader, Zed'deth. "Honestly, this whole tower, throwing the whole city into chaos and the big bad is some Anrachi vampire looking MFer? I was hoping for more of a challenge!" With a crackling hiss and heat and explosion, the grenades went off and made a massive smoke screen, one that Framework leapt into, guns blazing. "Bring it on, sucker!"
"Guuk-!" The smoke screen burst in a hiss of scarlet red magic. Framework hung by the neck, a noose of black ichor choking him as he unloaded shells on Zed'deth. Shells that bounced off the Anrachi like they were paper footballs. "No fair."
"You asked me to bring it. I shall bring it." Count Zed'deth tightened his grip on Framework, a crack, then another crack, heard as the lion struggle and kicked.
FRAMEWORK- (Level 3)
MARTIALIST>
Subclass- Short Range Arms Master
You are a master of your chosen tools. Others may use their tools to channel their spells or other abilities, or fight in conjunction with tricks and deception. But not you, you prefer the honest and simple majesty of mastering your instruments of combat and bringing everything you can to bear in battle. You are faster on your feet because you have to be, stronger with your weapon because you don’t have the luxury of relying on tricks or spells. Eventually, all Martialists figure out not just one or two weapons, but a whole class of weaponry they become expert in using. These become known as ‘Arms Masters’. They learn to weave their armaments between each other, creating a bloody dance in combat. You have a weapon for every occasion, and a way to handle any problem with efficient, effective force. While using more than one weapon in combat is an option for every other type of fighter, spellslinger or gunman, for the Martialist it is a core aspect of their style of handling every encounter. Hitting multiple times, a combo chain is created with some devastating finishing hits.
