The city rumbled, trembled, shook, and quaked, as two absolute titans slammed into each other, as if a metaphorical bell had rung to set them off. One, a titanic tigress, and the other, a colossal two-headed sea monster. The two of them locked hands, ferociously pushing against each other with every ton of weight they had, and considering how gigantic the two of them were, that was a LOT of tons.
This wasn't as crass as simply a mere territorial disagreement between giant monsters. This was a fight to see who the strongest, the heaviest, the fattest was between them. A clash of quaking ground accompanied by the sound of growling and snarling from the two behemoth beauties filled the city, not to mention the sound of skyscrapers crumbling from becoming acquainted with their hips, the comparatively tiny blocks of concrete toppling easily as the two giants passively bulldozed them with little effort, some even getting sandwiched between their guts.
The tiger let out a menacing growl as she attempted to surge forward. Her opponent, the two-headed monster, projected a demeanor calm but sturdy, meeting the tiger's charge head on with just as much force. Amidst this exchange, the tiger's face met that of one of the sea monster's heads, their snouts pressing against each other as the two of them looked directly into each other's eyes, the tiger with a menacing glare, and the two-headed monsters calmer, like the sea from which she emerged earlier, but still strong, sturdy, and determined.
But they weren't alone. If one squinted, they could make out two tiny figures appearing to be commanding the two giants, standing on their noses, front and center for the monstrous girls to see and hear them. With the two giants' muzzles pressed to each other, it was a perfect opportunity for some banter, as the tiny bat standing on the tiger's nose would start.
"Not too bad, foxy!" Genthan remarked to the other coach. "Few opponents can stop a charge like that."
"Heh!" Flayne replied. "Not bad yourself, bat boy. We ALMOST twitched from that push!"
"HA!" the bat scoffed, aggressively pointing at the fox across the crevice between the two girls's snouts. "Flatter yourself all you want, but WE'RE gonna come out on top! Ishi here can handle ANYTHING your wet lizard can throw at her!"
"Don't underestimate Ezili, batty!" Flayne retorted. "They don't call her the empress of the sea for nothing! You and that kitty cat of yours are as good as beat!"
The fuzzy yellow floor Genthan stood upon shook and vibrated as Ishi let out a growl, making her tiny coach reinforce his footing. "EMPRESS, HUH?!!" she boomed. "When I'm done, the only thing YOU'LL be the empress of is the dirt!"
"Tread carefully, 'Kitty Cat'," Ezili replied from her left head, calmer, but her voice still just as booming, Flayne's scaly perch rattling just from her speaking, "or I shall drag YOU under the waves!"
"I'll have you know tigers are good swimmers, 'Wet Lizard!'" Ishi barked. "And anyway, we're not even standing in water, which sucks for you!"
"Metaphorical speech," Ezili replied. "Meaning, I'm about to knock you over!"
"OH YEAH?! Not if I can help it!!" Ishi roared back.
The coaches steadied themselves as their monsters roared back and forth. Genthan looked back at Ishi's huge eyes. "You got this, Ishi baby!" he cheered. "Show 'em who's boss!"
"You got it, coach!" the tiger replied, putting on the steam.
Flayne, without taking his eyes off his opponents, decided to pump up his monster too. "Don't let them intimidate you, Ezili," he said firmly. "Hold your ground, and take theirs!"
"Worry not, my coach," the sea monster replied. "I will not fail!"
Presently, as the two monsters and their coaches battled it out, spectators were drawn to the fight. Spectators... in the form of other monsters.
"Ooh! What's this?" came another booming voice as a humongous Dalmatian of reversed colors lumbered up to them, watching with particular interest. "Sweet! Sumo fight!" she said, pumping her fist. "Go! Go! GO!!"
Ezili's glanced back with her free head at Melanie. "Seems we have an audience," she remarked, while also showing of her ability to look at something else with one head while focusing on fighting with the other, something that didn't go unnoticed by the Dalmatian.
"Good!" Ishi said. "She can watch me kick your butt!"
"Other way around, dear," Ezili retorted simply, making Ishi snort.
"What's going on here, hm?" came another booming voice, as a giant blue swallow strolled up, casually gnawing on a semi truck as if it were a candy bar, the metal of its trailer warping just from her holding it.
"Sumo battle!" Melanie said excitedly.
"Oh, huh, cool," Lazuri said, still chewing on the truck cab. "Which one's winning?"
"ME of course!" Ishi answered through grit teeth.
"Hmph! You're mistaken!" Ezili snorted.
"Hard to say, really," Melanie chucked, offering a slightly more unbiased perspective. "If I had to make a guess, I'd say the two-headed one has a slight advantage if she knows how to use it." At this, Ezili smirked with her left head with a "Hm!", while giving a wide, smug, toothy smile with her free head with a "Hee!", while Flayne's mouth curled into a smirk directed at Genthan. Ishi growled, and Ganthen scoffed, folding his arms.
"Eh, I dunno," Lazuri replied. "The cat's got guts. I wouldn't count her out." At this, Ishi smirked with a little "Heh!", showing off her fangs, and Ganthen gave Flayne a smug snarl, his hands on his hips. Ezili snorted with her left head, and rolled her eyes with her right, and Flayne narrowed his eyes.
Melanie shrugged. "However this goes, this is a good match! I wanna play the winner!"
"You'll need a coach then!" Genthan called to her from Ishi's snout, overhearing the conversation. "It's only fair!"
Genthan's voice was tiny to the giants, but Melanie still heard him by virtue of dog ears. "... Since when do WE need coaches?" she thought out loud (which made Genthan and Flayne momentarily nervous). "Well, if those are the rules... Where can I find a coach?"
"Uh..." Lazuri began. "Well, I might've had one handy for you, but..." she looked at the truck she had been gnawing. She still held half of the trailer in her hand, but the cab was gone. "... I think I ate him..." The nervous feeling passed through Genthan and Flayne again after hearing that.
Melanie stifled a giggle. "Oh well," she said shrugging. "Maybe I can borrow one from the rooftops or something."
Speaking of rooftops, two spectators of the regular-sized kind stood upon a roof several blocks away, watching the carnage. One of them, a brown dog, stared with his mouth agape. "Why is it that every time I go to the roof for maintenance work I see THIS happening?" Hughe said.
The gray wolf next to him looked at him, astonished. "Wait, you see this all the time?" Blade asked. "Jealous~"
"Not sure if I'd be jealous," Hughe replied, "But yeah, this happened exactly three months ago. It's almost like I'm a magnet for this kind of... Are you RECORDING this?!"
Blade smirked, his tail wagging. "Oh yeah! This is good stuff right here! I can't pass this up!"
Hughe sighed. "... Ehhh, well, at least this time I'm not ON the roof of the building they're knocking over."
"Wait, you've been on the roof as they were destroying it?!" Blade asked with excitement. "SUPER jealous!"
Hughe slapped his forehead. "Uuuugh... Well, as long as they stay over there we should be okay."
"I don't know, buddy," Blade said. "I thought I heard one of them mention rooftops a second ago." Hughe's ears flopped to the side of his head once he realized the implications of that statement.
