This is a ref sheet for my headmate Rubinda, who began as one of my characters and took on a life of her own. Her design is a hybrid between a sergal and a cobra, with a serpentine lower body. In the world she comes from, telluric spirits are physical in form and are created from the dreams and beliefs of mortals. If enough people believe that a particular entity is real, then it becomes real (which makes Rubinda the headmate's formation very meta). Though they are not always the same as they are believed to be (especially if beliefs are contradictory). They are also free willed and can choose to develop as individuals or embrace their nature.
Rubinda (the character) was created as the result of a bard going around telling comedic stories that he made up about a giant red serpent lady that (literally) eats the rich and redistributes their wealth. She eventually became real because someone believed hard enough that she was real. In the stories, she commands several magical powers, and in particular is able to produce a hypnotic effect from the markings on her hood, causing onlookers to be kept immobilized and fascinated just long enough for them to become her next meal...
This is a new ref sheet I remade for Rubinda, using my own art rather than relying on bases.
