Given how cumbersome this thing is, I feel like wearing it as a scarf is a viable way to avoid stepping on it!
It's not even that small, although depending on the style and layout, it may be mistaken for a cool and edgy design detail!
That depends on whether the growth is linear or exponential - either way, the results would probably be quite impressive!
I only learned about that afterwards - it was a complete coincidence, I swear! ^^
Could be worse...she could have drank a Kelp Shake and turned into green fuzz =P
Ah, ridiculous tongue growth is always such an entertaining transformation.
I have to wholeheartedly agree - weirder TFs like this are always a treat and deserve a lot more love!
I have a soft spot for TFs that are just rather awkward rather than inherently scary or painful or dramatic. The kind that make you think 'well now what?'.
I've just now noticed you've said 'she' in the comments ; I'd seen her as a boy.

To be fair, I didn't specify any gender in the image tags, and a lot of my characters tend to be pretty androgynous by design - feel free to read them as whatever works best for you! ^^
He it is, then XD.
One of the things I love best about these kinds of partial TFs is how they provide such possiblities for imagining the ways in which the target's life ends up adjusting. With a full TF, you're thrust suddenly into a completely different existence, but with a partial TF, there's a lot more room for experimenting with what does and doesn't have to change.
Handwaving away that his tongue would dry out and assuming it becomes self-moistening, the other major hurdle other than the speech impediment (fantastic portrayal, by the way) would be being unable to chew properly, as you can't bite down if you can't retract your tongue out of the way.
But aside from the practical mechanics, it is fun to imagine him doing ordinary daily life things, like buying groceries, riding a bike, working in their job, going to school/university etc. but with the addition of dealing with the newly extended appendage.

Hey, maybe it's prehensile and you could use it to pick stuff up, food especially, from a distance!
Might as well pick up a few tricks from our amphibian friends!
