Wonder Monster Land is considered both an Anomaly as well as Lost Media. There are reports of the game existing going as far back as 1991, however despite this very few copies have been seen, and a ROM has never been uploaded to the internet. The game is believed to be, from occasional rare forum posts from people Lucky enough to try the game, a hybrid of Action-Adventure and RPG, taking many inspirations from Westone's Wonder Boy in Monster World and Monster World 4 games from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. While a version on that console seems to be most common from reports, versions for PC, PS1, Nintendo Wii and XBOX 360 are confirmed to exist, however it is suspected that the game may exist on ANY console.
The game seems to only exist in very small quantities, possibly even only one copy may exist at any one time, and will change platform to suit the desires of the player who encounters it. Players will often make some progress into the game, make reports on forums, and then one of two things will happen. The most common is the copy of the game suddenly goes missing without any evidence of how or where it went to, the game seems to be able to leave the presence of players it deems "unworthy". The second occurence, for players who become more immersed with the game, is that the player AND the game seem to go missing. The game will eventually be reported as found by another player, however the missing person seems to never return. Some observers claim, going by known information on forums, that the missing players may be transported to the game to live out their lives in the world they have become addicted to, however this is merely a theory and no concrete evidence has ever been collected.
The last-known player of this game was a person named Viv, going under the username LittleMiss-V on Social Media. She was becoming incredibly addicted to the game, making a lot more progress than anyone before her going by her reports. However soon messages stopped being sent shortly after he reported finding a "Scroll of Fairy" and researchers suggest she may have used the item, and disappeared like others before her. The game is once again lost, our forensic team has found no leads. It's as if Viv never even lived in our world...
If you are to come into contact with this game, it is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that you do not play the game, and you immediately contact the Authorities, stating "I have come into possession of a copy of Wonder Monster Land, please come collect it" so that a professional team can conduct research on it.
A fun little idea I had cookig up for a while, what started as just making a cute Fairy TF turned into making an entire Lost Media/SCP concept for a lost videogame that will immerse certain worthy players a little more than they expected...
For the next person to find this game, I hope Kristal is a valuable companion!
(NOTE: I have zero affiliation with the actual SCP foundation, this is just a fun little idea inspired by SCP, Creepypasta and Lost Media)
