While her new guest of sorts had taken up residence in the enchanted home of the witch, Lilian still knew next to nothing about such an oddity. A skull she had happened by while just out on a small errand that now seemed attached to her in some manner. Was it bound by soul or maybe magic? Was it forced to link to another or did it choose? Could it even think? So many questions plagued the black cat's mind before she finally let out a huff and gently picked up the goat skull to carry along.
"Come on," she said simply. "Let's head to a quiet spot."
With that, the two moved along from the potion table and cauldron to down the magically enhanced hall and straight to the room of Lily's study. Opening the door revealed hundreds of books on shelves with paper left in stacks or strewn along the floor in a haste to make notes. Lilian's legs moved without hurry as she closed the entrance and found a spot devoid of clutter on the floor. Setting her hat aside and plopping herself down, the feline held the skull in her palms as she looked it over closely. She didn't understand any of it and could hardly read the runes that she caught a glimpse of inside the skull.
It almost felt as if it was emanating dark magic but she wasn't so sure. If it was truly harmful then why hadn't anything happened in the weeks since she had got her new 'friend' of sorts? Did something need to be said? Was there a vocal chant or phrase to make it reveal itself or do whatever it had been made for? Was the supposed inhabitant even the proper owner of the skull still?
"What brought you to me?" she asked quietly and held the skull up higher.
Lilian's eyes narrowed as she studied the almost immaculate bone, still in wonder how it somehow kept itself so clean. She knew not of the name of its inhabitant. It wasn't as if it could talk, or at least she didn't think it could. Her thumbs caressed along the jawbone in a caring manner as she let out soft hums to herself. It was fascinating to her and yet she couldn't quite explain why. There had been a number of skulls she's seen before, some even magically enchanted to sing or talk in some way. Necromancy wasn't exactly out of the question either but it just didn't seem plausible. Usually, reviving the dead brought them back as much as possible, though it was extremely frowned upon to do so regardless of your coven or cult.
"Lletywr," Lily spoke and leaned closer to the skull. "Let us figure you out together, shall we? I feel you wish to say so much but have no means to do so."
The witch's eyes looked away in thought before almost shining in excitement. A seance might have them answer a few questions. She just needed a spirit board and some candles, some smudge and sage~ Her mind filled will performing a ritual to speak with the dead before she glanced at her tail. It would only be for Lletywr. She didn't need to worry about her mother as she was right there with her.
"Hmm, maybe Nana might know something too," the feline added and lowered the skull to rest in her lap.
Nana was one of the coven's elders. A fox that had been around a long while and might possibly be the oldest of the witches in the Sisters of the Moon. She had helped Lilian learn so much when her mother had become absent later on. Surely, if anybody knew even a little about such a strange object, Nana would!
With a triumphant nod and her fangs pressing to her lower lip in a smile, Lily hoisted the skull back up to explain the idea only to stop and tilt her head. For just a moment, she could have sworn she saw some beady little glows of light within the eye sockets before they swiftly faded. Maybe she was just seeing things though she wasn't quite sure. Instead of lingering on the thought, she grabbed her hat and tucked the skull under her arm before hurrying out to find Amethyst and tell her the idea. Nana might be rather surprised to know the young gal had made friends with what seemed to be a haunted skull and a myth. Perhaps she should introduce them one at a time...

I never noticed the paw prints on her boots.
Anyway, Lily will figure out the mystery one way or another.

I couldn't help but have such cute little shoes for her~ As for Lletywr, hope she doesn't regret what she finds!
I doubt it, Lily is so sweet people would have preemptive regret for doing something mean to her
