Day 26: Skeledirge
In the Shields of Rosaria, Tate was trained to become the best Pokemon Master, by protecting his friends and his fellow king members in the Kingdom of Rosaria. One day, when the King of Rosaria summoned him, he was expected to inherit the power of Phoenix but was never awakened to his true power yet due to his weak skills. Instead, the king gives Tate his Royal Phoenix's Blessing to swear that he would be his First Shield to protect the Kingdom. Later that night while watching the night sky, Tate sang a Song of Rebirth to remember those who had lost dear to him. When Nezche hears Tate's voice, he walks towards him, praying for his safety against the Metia star while expressing his worries about the impending war. A few days later, the Kingdom was attacked by a small number of Team Stars for those who fought back against the Knights of Rosaria, constantly bullying them against their Kingdom, paying no mercy to them. Tate urged his majesty to escape the Kingdom for his own safety, while he and his friends fought Team Stars to protect this kingdom, but he discovered that imperials had infiltrated their original company from Rosalith, meaning that his majesty was in grave danger! He calls his fellow Arcanine to rescue him but before that, he is set upon by a deafening sound that rings his ears and notices a hooded man that disappears in front of his eyes. Meanwhile, his majesty Pokemon was defeated by a student disguised as a Rosarian knight, and the shock made Tate suffer a crippling headache, as a mysterious wreath in flame appeared before his eyes. A small firebird swirls around Tate giving him a new form to use in battle! His skin was covered in white rectangular scales, with purple scales covering him, as his belly structures into an angular with a white coloration flanked by black stripes on either side, resembling an open suit jacket and dress shirt. His face begins to change, growing into a long, large muzzle with sharp teeth around his mouth and longer jaws, with purple insides of Tate’s body and various square and triangular patterns that come with only pink and purple shapes. During his transformation, he managed to feel a fiery wrath beneath his veins leading out a powerful song to blast Team Stars away! Not before long, his Lugia tail started to be replaced with purple scales behind him, leaving a cylindrical tip behind his tail, he also had white coloration on the top of his head resembling a lute instrument. While he's feeling the pressure, his torso starts spreading around his body on his arms and legs, merging his four fingers into three dark purple claws on each side. Although the transformation is not done yet, and even though he usually walks on all fours, it is possible that he might be standing on his hindering legs, as he grows almost nearly reaching through castle walls. However, one of the guards didn't believe his eyes as he recognized Tate to become a giant Pokemon without Dynamax, but Tate noticed a giant yet small orange fiery bird resting on top of his head, that separated an independent entity from the Pokémon. It was found out that he was transformed into a giant Skeledirge the Eikon of Fire, as he inadvertently incinerated his enemies who get in his way. His mind was still in control, but his body wasn't because Tate had no bond against himself as a Pokemon. Near the end of the fight, Tate heard his Arcanine crying before he regained consciousness, witnessing Skeledurge attacking the people and Pokemon against his own Kingdom. He pleads Skeledurge to stop attacking his Kingdom, as he unleashes a massive explosion of a Torch Song that destroys the entire castle, and people, hearing small amount of people cries, consuming his own will. When the Battle is over, Tate suddenly regains himself from his own body, but somehow he is stuck as a Skeledurge, losing all his memory of his furry form and where he's from, believing that the Eikon's Dominant was the hooded man he had seen. He swears that he will take revenge for the King and his friends someday, as he will find out the truth about himself and his purpose.
