"I'm going to enjoy killing you later..."
A doodle from our 5e game illustrating a scene that's yet to take place. With the party currently participating in an arena tournament, famous fellow bladesinger 'Ashana'tanila the Bladesong' calls out Seraphine to duel her; a call she intends to answer, to the chagrin of the rest of the party.
The actual fight won't be for a few weeks IRL yet. So we'll have to wait and see who's blood will soak the sands...
December 2nd Update: Seraphine proved the victor! - It was ultimately a 4-man fight, though Sera and Ashana basically got their wish of a duel. It was close fought, until the others started to struggle and Seraphine tried to leave to help her friends...
Ashana was enraged at the idea Seraphine wasn't giving her her full attention, and counterspelled her misty step... an action that left the elf's defenses wide open, which the centaur girl then exploited, leaving her vulnerable to a withering assault which ended in Ashana downed but alive, and now in possession of a brutal dueling scar.
Thus Seraphine walked away from the fight with the new title: 'Seraphine the Bladesong'

Now I'm curious what their beef with each other is.
Good old classic racism!
The traditional and largest sect of elves (Ashathyr) in this setting are reclusive; keep to themselves, look down on non-elves and guard their cultural arts rather closely. Some elves broke away several hundred years earlier and went into the wider world, one of the more notable examples being a famous general and bladesinger (Ilyndrathil) who decided he was going to defect and take on non-Ashathyri students so their art could proliferate.
Seraphine, is one of those students he trained after leaving; Ashana is Ilyndrathil's estranged daughter who despises him for doing that... /roll for drama

...and session over!
I added the synopsis to the description. For greater context, Seraphine has a starmetal dagger that can shut down low circle magic on a hit. By burning her reaction on counterspell instead of shield it left a gap that allowed Sera to connect a hit, dispel her mage armor and deny her recasting any defensive spells.
