Illusion Lion (Bio)
Name: Illusion Lion
Species: Lion
Gender: Male
Nationality: American
Alternate Names: Lucas King
Hometown: Lexington, Kentucky, USA
Current Residence: Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
Occupation: Magician/illusionist
Appearance: Large and muscular lion with yellow eyes. Like many others, he almost always pads (goes barefoot), but will wear the appropriate footwear when needed. His main outfit is a glitzy gold and silver tuxedo with a golden top hat, white pants, and a silver bowtie. He carries a golden magic wand with jewels inserted into the wand.
Battle Uniform: His glitzy tuxedo is his battle uniform.
Alternate Clothing: Various; he likes to wear formal suits and ties when out in public, although weather permitting, he will use common sense and wear other clothing when is needed.
Superpowers: Reality warping (similar to others), telepathy, super strength, X-ray vision, and wardrobe swapping. (This is the act all musical G-52s and allies, plus a select number of others, have done; this consists of changing clothes on the fly just by waving one's hands or snapping fingers, or sometimes clapping hands, rendering T2's automatic clothes changer practically useless.)
Bio: Lucas is an example of having been affected by CNG from the moment he was born. Having been affected by the money combination (green, gold, and silver), he technically is the latest Money Mogul to join the G-52s (after Cripto, Lotto Lion, Quiz King, Cash Cat, and the various drum corps recruits, in that order). In Lucas's case, though, the humans acting as CNG smugglers mistook his dad for somebody else, whom they claimed owed them money after swindling them in a poker game. (The real swindler turned out to be Crush in disguise; this was one of the rare cases where a G-52 required the otherwise forbidden act of gambling, and the casino worked with Crush to help expose the criminals; they ended up giving themselves away when they tried to draw their weapons, but the CNG (in a very embarrassing act) made it look like unlimited money was spilling out of their pants. Then the CNG messed with their heads, leading them to assume the dad was the swindler. (Crush also wore a disguise.)
The smugglers came by the hospital to attack Lucas's dad, only to drown in a sea of wealth (literally). Crush, who had come by to help the police apprehend the crooks, dug their dead bodies out of the money and lamented, "What a way to go! If this doesn't teach the public that greed really destroys you, I doubt if there is much that will." In the end, they never found out it was Crush. (To this day, Lucas's father doesn't know it was Crush either, and Crush isn't willing to tell him just yet.)
Lucas's powers began developing from there, particularly after the high school he attended required at least three semesters of weightlifting. From elementary school through high school, he liked to entertain his friends with magic tricks, and also did a few shows for the whole school. While it did get him in trouble a few times (such as when he got revenge on those who bullied him with a harmless April Fools joke, which they took the wrong way). His shows eventually landed him an audition with COTS (Circus of the Superstars), although the job instead went to the Amazing Jamie. (The ringmaster, Rolf the Wolf, would allow Lucas to perform a few times with Jamie if the show involved the clearly impossible trick of sawing somebody in half; the success led the wolf to hail the lion as an honorary member of COTS.)
Upon being cleared off the USA Waiting List, Lucas chose the name "Illusion Lion" for his codename, claiming he was the forces of good's answer to villains such as Illusion Otter and Black Hat. Super C later added him to the Money Mogul list when it was discovered CNG was pulling money out of thin air, but paying Lucas for each trick he performed, as well as the scary act of earning one dollar per point on a pinball machine (or video game if the scores were kept in dollars). He subsequently allowed Cripto to create a money switch for Lucas.
He can only speak English, and he likes doing all his magic acts (whenever possible) to live musical accompaniment.
While he doesn't play an instrument himself, he has marched in parades as a drum major, primarily due to the fact that he had a tiny bit of experience with acting, and his signature role was playing Prof. Harold Hill in an all-furry stage production of "The Music Man." As such, his favorite song is "76 Trombones."
While he actually has superpowers, it has become standard for him to do other tricks that do not require superpowers, and then demonstrate to the audience how they can perform the tricks, assuming it is one safe for the audience to do.
Lucas also does educational magic shows for children.
Quotes: "The forces of evil have Black Hat and Illusion Otter causing trouble. The forces of good need somebody to counteract that. That's where I come in."
"I assure you all my dad is okay. He just has no idea who those idiots thought he was, or why they were after him. I think it is best for now he doesn't know the truth. I don't know the truth either, but I'm really bad at keeping secrets, so don't spoil it!"
"Anybody can do magic; you just have to have the right mindset and the right know-how for it."
"That stuff gave me super strength, but I don't think I'm cut out to be a Drumbum. I don't play an instrument anyways."
"You could also jokingly say I am to magic what Galaxy Wolf is to philanthropy. We both have the glitzy costumes."
"Pinball isn't really my forte, but if that switch is on, I can earn cold, hard cash the same way as Cripto. He's the pinball wizard, though. I'm not."
Catchphrases: "And now, for my next trick..."
"Do I have a volunteer from the audience?"
"Can I get a drum roll, please?"
"May I have a drum roll, please?"
"Drum roll, please!"
"Drum roll!"
"TA-DA!"
"TA-DA! Magic!"
"It's magic!"
"Now I'll show you how you can do this." (if the trick does not require superpowers)
"Whatever you do, don't try this at home!"

Chuong: Sounds like the G-52s are preparing ahead for the F5 search for more supervillains.
Zax: 2024 should be the year of opportunity not a can of worms.
Chuong: Tell me about it! Their choice of supervillains are incredibly unpredictable and nuts! Many of them are incredibly intelligent too!
V-Fox: But the G-52s always win because justice always prevails. Again, you have nothing to worry about.
Chuong: Black Hat is a walking Pandora's Box and is one of the most difficult F5 supervillains to deal with.
Zax: And just like Pandora's Box, there's hope at the end. They can pull all sorts of tricks they want, but the G-52s and all of us will always win.

Illusion Lion: That's where I come in. Black Hat is in for a rude awakening.
Super C: Just promise me it won't get out of control. You, I mean; he always lets it get out of control.
Illusion Lion: I can do that. How does he let it get out of control?
Captain C: Once he and the others invaded Parliament by magically summoning wild boars and getting them to run all over the House of Commons.
Corps Coon: It took more than the magic of my snare drum to put those boars back in line. That was nuts!
Super C: Would you be able to pull off something like that if you were acting rash?
Illusion Lion: I believe so. I have no reason to do something like that, though. I'd look for other ways to make life difficult for the villains.
