Letters to Leonio the Holy Lion: #1
Dear Leonio,
It looks like we might be prepping for a new Pope soon. Let's say you got voted in to be the next Pope. This means that 2 billion souls, or those who follow Catholicism in this world, will be weighed on your shoulders. I know the current Pope warned everybody to not show any form of resentment to the LGBTQ+, even their lifestyles, and instead, preach our love for humanity to them. Even though the Italian government does not have the kind of laws for the LGBTQ+ like the others, such as The Netherlands and Denmark, we still treat them like people because attacking them is still a crime.
Personally, if you were the Pope, I rather hear about you talk about the importance of family, what it means to raise children, and how that benefits the world. But I'm also afraid that you may quote Leviticus 18:22 and say that being gay is a sin. In Uganda under Museveni, Leviticus 18:22 was abused by their preachers to the point that the country did virtually nothing in stopping violence against the LGBTQ+ people. And when Museveni signed the Anti-Homosexual Act into law, many of us took it to the Ugandan Embassy in Rome to protest against that bill as well as convincing our government to sanction Uganda, in which they did. (Thank goodness that nightmare ended where Lyle the Nomadic Lion took over to clean up his mess so the sanctions from around the world against Uganda are lifted.) Italy is known for their advanced military hardware in weaponry, with huge emphasis on precision, and we rather not have our weapons be used in mass murder against the LGBTQ+ in Uganda.
So if you were the Pope, what is your message to the Catholics?

Leonio's reply:
Dear Lucia:
If the people want me to be Pope, I will voluntarily step down immediately; such a job is a job I believe God intended for humans and humans alone, and on top of that, men chosen by Him. I'm sorry, but while Leo the Patriotic Lion and the other parallels of me may be heads of state, sacred positions that were appointed by God should only be for humans. Why? He wanted humanity to have dominion over the Earth when He created it. He did not design it for us members of the animal kingdom to rule over it; that is just what that CNG stuff wanted.
I am aware about how Uganda's preachers abused Leviticus 18:22; for the record, here is what that says:
Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.
So you must realize that it really is a sin, and that the Lord condemns it. You're correct, however, to say that the Lord does not want His doctrine being used for sin, and that is exactly what they were doing. The Sixth of the Ten Commandments says, "Thou shalt not kill," and they were killing people. They also forgot Matthew 7:1:
Do not judge, or you, too, will be judged.
Homophobia is also a sin because it is a form of judging people, and that is what these poeple in Uganda did. Now I'm told Nigeria also had similar problems with the same issues, and Lenu, my Nigerian counterpart, spoke to me about it not long after he realized I exist. When he expressed his concerns, he mentioned the fact the prisons were overcrowded with people just because they were homosexual, and 99% of them had no criminal records whatsoever. They were arrested just because of their status. That's almost like saying to somebody that just because they exist as a human being in the first place, they are getting life in prison. (I use that example because I am told that when Cripto used to judge himself by a standard harsher than the whole world put together, one thing his conscience kept lying to him about was that just because he existed, he was responsible for all the world's problems, and that he deserved to die. Why would it be Cripto's fault that the world had so much destruction before his generosity bailed us all out? The one at fault is the world itself, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Cripto, I'm happy to say, no longer thinks that, but once upon a time, his conscience was as unforgiving as social media has proven to be today.)
Another sad ending to this is that the supernatural forces picking up where CNG left off gave those corrupt politicians the death penalty in the end. The major difference between this new force and its predecessor (CNG) is that it is allowing humans to continue to live as humans, instead of permanently turning those it doesn't kill into animals. (Expect to hear a lot about that topic because the C.I.D.F. has their huge documentation project going, in which they are identifying every individual that was a human, but now is stuck as an anthro animal, and offering any protection needed, since there are terrorists still going after them.)
Your question, however, was what I would say to the people if I was the Pope, and I stated why I do not want to be the Pope, and will not accept the nominations if the people try to vote me in (even if a scandal results from it). I would have to be careful about how I would answer any questions related to the gay crowd, but some years have seen the Catholic church actually accept them with open arms. But the reality is I would spend most of the time I would spend emphasizing the family unit as the most important thing, and how we should train up our children in the way they should go, so that when they are old, they will not depart from it.
I hope that helps; if not, let me know where I made a mistake and I will fix it. Thank you for writing to me, and may the Lord bless you and your family.
Yours truly,
Leonio Zetticci, a.k.a. Leonio the Holy Lion

Chuong: Excellent answer I must say, especially how you'd rather step down immediately. 2 billion souls under one religious leader, that's a lot. The story of the Sword of Damocles emphasizes this kind of situation, and Leonidas is familiar with this.
Zax: You're a very humble lion right there. And yes, being a religious leader of 2 billion people is a lot. That's an extremely tough job. Pope Francis must be very strong to stay this long despite his health issues.
Juno: He's done a lot I must say.
