Another take on my forming idea about a new setting and character in it. Owls (ok, avians in general) in a sci-fi setting; with singular pilots steering ten to twelve meter tall battlemachines. While staying in those during missions (unless something goes horribly wrong...), between transit, missions, etc they surely have their time at base. Gotta have that sprinkle of Top-Gun-Cheese ;)
