Tis. Back when I was with my ex, we were at a XMas light show. This random guy came up, literally holding the Bible, and started going off as such. My reply is there. Walked away. Win. Imma fuckin' hero.
You, sir, are a hero to mankind.
...Also, that last panel. That ENDLESS NECK. I burst out laughing. XD

Seriously, why can't we all just believe what we want without pushing it on others?

You know the old testament no longer applies since it was fulfilled when jesus came to say hi to everyone back in the day, right? Either way the christian in the comic is completely wrong, but so is the other guy for quoting a no longer valid part of the bible.
It's the same reason you dont see modern day Christians slaughtering cattle and the like. They'd be following an old part of the bible that is no longer meant to apply. If you really want, you can tell the bible-thumpers who quote the old testament to slaughter some sheep too. Just be nice to those poor christians who DON'T shove things down your throat and let you live in peace, try to avoid lumping them in with the bible thumpers who are assholes to everyone and dont actually read their bibles. (lol)

Oh of course. I'm just sliding you more ammo to use when you see more bible thumpers. They're doing it wrong even by the very standards they pretend to uphold.
Actually the old testament wasn't abolished by Jesus, or by anyone. Technically it's still valid.
1) “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so.
2) All of the vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever. "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
3) Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
There are many more verses like this making it clear that the old testament is meant to be followed until the end of human existence on earth

Actually that 3rd one is what I'm referring to. The laws were fulfilled, meaning they are no longer to be followed.

Oh my, more major contradictions in the bible? How do you know which verses to distinguish as the right ones to follow?
Religious Christians are like that... I'm not too particularly fond of the bible-fuckers myself, but there are a select few who I'd say are actually not completely brainwashed holy-rollers.
Regardless, I'm not much for associating myself with a populace that preaches bigotry, hypocracy, and intolerance for everything you don't agree with or understand.

According to the way christians think... I'm probably something far worse than an atheist...
If that happens commonly to you with Christians -- then you're lucky you're not from a Muslim country -- otherwise, they've would've legally killed you by now.
