Vasuk would never miss a quality research opportunity, especially to study a natural giant.
I thought what Doggedly did was amazing, (gift-arting everyone on his watch list) so I wanted to make sure he got some gift art too.
This is also a bit of an experimental pic for me. I didn't like myself use any of my usual brushes for this one, to force myself to get used to more textured brushes. I think it turned out really well!

I apologize for being super late to commenting on this wonderful and amazing drawing, I wanted to give it my full attention when I wanted to comment on it and now that I finally have that ability here it is!
I want to start off with the background, as it sets the stage for the rest of the drawing and my oh my is it great. In my mind or at least how the 'lore' of it goes, Beardsley/Dudley live on a very large ranch/farm property with neighboring ranches/farms. I love how you captured that essence here how there's only a few scattered houses here and there opposed to a city or something. And just how small the electric poles are in comparison to the large Husky and everything else!
One thing I fail to do in my own art of Dudley is showing just how large he is in both appearance and sense of scale. Your drawing here you can clearly feel and see just how large and big Dudley is with how well your depth/perception is of him in space but also the background.
Myself I fail to include both aspects as well as you have and then instead of Dudley appearing super huge it makes Beardsley or whatever other normal sized person just seem super tiny. So my art a lot of times it feels like Dudley is normal sized and everyone else is extremely tiny opposed to everyone else is normal sized and Dudley is a actually a mammoth of a canine XD
I like how you positioned Dudley's paws and disposition, while he's literally a macro and is capable of being very threatening/imposing he isn't here even though there's an interesting unknown being coiled around his vast arm.
He's instead rather worried or uncertain and this is more how he would react in a situation like this :D
I LOVE the amount of detail and depth you sculpted Dudley with, the shading and textured brushes make him feel super real like as if I can jump right into the picture and try petting him! I love the body type you gave him, It's exactly what I picture him to be. He's got some rather robust moo-scles but being an active connoisseur of 'regular' foodstuffs he's adorably rounded - especially his super cute belly which I'm sure would act as a great bed to sleep - I just want to poke it :D
I'm certain Vasuk will have a blast trying to figure Dudley out - though it might be an interesting affair given how little medical/exam care if at all the large Husky has been given XD
Once again thank you so much for this! I can't believe there's now art of Dud's that isn't at my hand, I still remember the day he and his smaller counterpart were created and how much that first hand-drawn comic means to me ( I may draw it digitally though one of these days for all to see ). It's un-real, and FAAS I again want to express my gratitude. It means a lot, thank you!
