With Hero Forge I created a deer boy who comes across a jungle goblin and is initially hesitant.
I really like the Tarzan and Mowgli motifs, stories about children who grow up to be (strong) noble savages in the wilderness and among wild animals.
I just felt like writing a story on the theme of “deer boy grows into a powerful deer man in the jungle”.
Part 1
A deer couple and their young son Jules went on vacation to a jungle. But the plane they were in gets out of control due to a technical malfunction and crashes. This separates the parents from their child. The rescue workers took care of the seriously injured and the less injured survivors. The parents hope that their son survived. But a tapir was forced to tell them that there was little chance that their son could have survived. He also says that if he could have survived the crash, unfortunately the chances of his survival would be slim due to the environment not being suitable for his species. The family usually inhabits closed forests, more open forest landscapes and forest edges. The deer parents mourn the alleged death of their son.
But her son Jules unexpectedly survived the crash and found himself in the deep jungle. He tries to find his parents, but ends up getting deeper and deeper into the jungle. Jules is scared, he's getting hungry and the humid heat is getting to him. But then a green creature stands in front of him, the same size as himself. This figure had a face with a little chin, a little nose, large pointed ears, a slim but muscular upper body, had long black hair tied in a ponytail, his five fingers were covered with glove-like plants and his legs and feet were unclothed.
Jules was afraid of this creature that held his hand. To Jules' surprise, the creature spoke to him and he could understand him. The creature explained to him that he was a jungle goblin and wanted to help him survive in the jungle. Jules told him that he wanted to go back to his parents and go home. But Jules was disappointed because the goblin told him that it was not in his power to lead him out of the jungle. He tells Jules that providence brought him here because this jungle is his destiny.
Jules didn't like what he was hearing at all. The goblin offered him some grass, which Jules gratefully accepted and ate. After he ate, he felt much more comfortable, as if the humid heat wasn't bothering him. The goblin explained to Jules that the grass was enchanted and that he would no longer have any problems with the climate and would survive.
Jules, who now had to acknowledge that he won't be coming home anytime soon, asked the goblin his name. The goblin tells him that his name is Thiago. The little deer told him that his name was Jules. Thiago had a hard time with the name Jules and suggested that he give him another name to suit his new phase of life.
Jules wanted to say something, but Thiago tells him that from now on he wants to call him Crecer, which means "grow" and he is sure that Jules, now more Crecer, will still grow properly in the jungle.
