Hello! This is "The Flower," my contest entry for the Express Yourself contest this year. I'm very excited to share this with you all! This song has a deep, powerful, and personal message that I want everyone to hear. I wrote this song as a reminder to myself, and my incredible friend Melodinumbra produced it! Huge thanks to him for collaborating with me to make this a reality!
Here are some words from Melodinumbra himself: “Siv presented me with some writing he wanted to build a song around. I saw the potential in his writing for spoken poetic vocals, so we collaborated together through discord to make this piece. Siv’s writing was an expression of his love for a former friend who is no longer with us. While I did not know this friend, I know what it’s like to lose friends and not have a chance to say goodbye, and his vocals resonated with me. For this reason, we decided to create “The Flower” as a memorial to his friend.”

Dang. I got caught up in the build and expected it to keep going.
Ahh yes, that is the rather unfortunate part of the 1 minute time limit for the contest. But a complete version of the song will be released after the contest is over! :)
What did you make this on? Like, Sibelius, Dorico... Something adjucent?
Vocals were recorded separately, but the music was made using FL Studio! :)
I like the sentiment and positive vibes of this song. Great production too. Awesome job!
