I've been drawing this hulking AmStaff guy for a while now and I finally decided to make him into a character. My three main zombies (Atticus, Sophie, and my sona) are all of the mostly harmless variety who refer to themselves as "rogue zombies" (they choose to sate their ravenous hunger with food rather than flesh, and have strayed from Alice's undead army despite being reanimated by her). Harland is one of the hostile zombie types, and he thinks the non-hostiles are traitors to Alice and an embarrassment to all undead. I am not entirely sure of his background just yet, but I don't *think* I want to make him straight-up evil.
I'm pretty happy with this guy because I really need practice with larger body types. Large muscles are something I shy away from due to personal preference and because they are difficult for me to draw. I don't use references for anatomy, and have learned mostly through observation and by doing visual studies of my own (very scrawny) body, so drawing larger body types is a challenge for me. Having this huge-ass pit bull dude to draw should be great for practice.
