It was a...teddy bear?
Yeah I don't got some sort of witty bard response to that, that's just adorable

In all fairness, it's a very fancy looking teddy bear.
You went through...
All of that...
For a TEDDY BEAR!?
Yeah I would've done that too

Now Imagine how all the other adventurers before you(if there were any) would feel and react, if their ghosts saw that that was what they died to try and get.
I think a good chunk of them would feel a bit scammed.
But hey, at least it has value to the kid, so its a win/win i guess?.

Pah, if they couldn't deal with a little goblin/skeleton/crushing/slime/golem/laser situation, that's their fault.
Smile of a child is always the greatest reward
Their are our future and the happier they are the more happy will be our next day
All bruises and scars are worth it

The real treasure was the friends you made along the way! Like all that slime that's still stuck to you, you could just reform it into a slime-man of sorts. Oh, and the happy girl too.
I'll scrape it all off and make my own personal smooze pal.
Little did Arix know that the young girl was a budding witch of tremendous potential power, and that the theft of her beloved stuffed bear had sent her into a spiral of depression and repressed anger. Had he not retrieved the toy, she would have grown up into a lonely, embittered sorceress who would have blighted the land, inflicting revenge upon a world that had deprived her of happiness.
Sometimes, a hero isn't defined by the evil he stops, but rather that which he prevents in the first place.

My, wouldn't that be something! One little act of generosity and kindness can make all the difference between another vengeful villain and a kind-hearted herbalist.
Watch her grow up into a herbalist who'll save your life in the far future.
It's the classic Androcles Lion fable.
Except the...the Arix Witch?
Except the...the Arix Witch?
XD in all honesty? Would also do it for the happy child ending.
