‘Hmm, these are good,…’
*Happy Hisses*
“The northern shore of the island, or as it has become known, ‘Storm Cove’, is usually blanketed in intense thunder storms. These storms can cause severe damage to any ship caught in them, sometimes sinking ships that try to pass the northern shore, or just causing them to lose cargo.
As a result, the beaches of Storm Cove often see various debris and lost cargo wash up on to them, so me and Ozzy frequently go up there to see what we can find and salvage. We have found lots of good stuff there, from shirts and clothing to toys to books to food.
We weren’t surprised to find several large crates washed up on the beach one morning, but when we opened one up, we certainly weren’t expecting them to be filled with heart-shaped boxes, filled with heart-shaped candies for something called ‘Valentine’s Day’, and really good candies too.
We definitely need to get these crates off the beach before the storms roll back in, and down to the southern shore, but we should have time to enjoy a few more first.”
‘Hmm,… what exactly is the ‘new-git’ stuff?’
*Questioning hisses*
I don’t usually do much on here for Valentine’s Day, but this idea was too cute to pass up, and
usagiforehead depicted the idea beautifully, as Ember and Ozzy enjoy Valentine’s Day in their own way. ;).
For a jungle girl with a sweet-tooth to find big crates of candy washed ashore is no doubt a huge treat, and it certainly shows here. Ember and Ozzy both look good as they sample their find, both looking quite happy, and Ozzy’s wagging tail is such a cute touch. I do like how this depicts Ember in regards to sweets, not as someone who would quickly wolf down any candy that she finds, but more as someone who would eat it slowly, and truly savor and enjoy it. And to me, that makes sense, on a remote tropical island fruits may be abundant, but real candy is probably very rare, so of course she’d want it to last as long as possible, so she can enjoy it for a long time. On top of all that I do love that sinister looking storm in the background, from whence the cove gets its name, that thing looks like the kinda thing some world-ending Kaiju might be lurking in, and no doubt something at could easily sink a ship. But in this case Ember and Ozzy seem to benefit from that, with such a huge haul of candy to enjoy with their friends for a very long time. :)
Happy Valentine’s Day. :).
What do you think? :D

Hmm, maybe,... though, if you think about it, if the whole boat had gone there would be alot more wreckage on the beach than just three crates.
More than likely the boat didn't sink/wreck, they just lost some cargo, so yeah, survivors.
Well, Ember might not be the intended recipient or know much about Valentine, but she and Ozzy sure can appreciate all these tasty candies. ;)
Great addition to the lore of her island though, defiantly seems like storm cove seems like pretty fun addition to the island, giving it technically another threat while also being something Ember can visit from time to time to find some fun goodies. :)

Yeah, no doubt they were not the intended recipient, but they certainly do appreciate all those delicious candies, which I'm sure their friends will too, when they share. ;)
I'm glad you think so, and yeah, it certainly seemed like a fitting addition, which added abit more danger to the island as well as a way for Ember to come across resources and fun things from time to time. :)

Indeed they weren't, but they and their friends will certainly enjoy them. ;)
Indeed it defiantly does, and yeah, adds a bit more danger to her island while giving a good place Ember can find all sorts of stuff. :)

Oh, indeed they will be enjoyed by Ember, Ozzy and their friends. ;)
Indeed, shows that even some places around the island are not safe either, but it does give a good place for Ember to find various things. :)

Indeed some places certainly aren't safe, though can have some value for Ember to visit them. :)

Indeed ;)
Exactly, even dangerous places can have value to them, and reason to visit them. :)

It's as they say. "One man's wrecked cargo, is another's treasure" . Maybe it went that way who knows XD .
Though I will say, this does show off how things do get swept up to the island's shore. And not every part of the island is safe to reach it. But at least those chocolates won't go to waste ;). Though Ember better not go overboard on them. Too much will hurt the teeth ;)

Yeah, maybe, but this definitely treasure to these two, that's for sure. ;).
Yeah, it certainly does show that, and no, not every part of the island is safe to approach. Oh, they definitely will not go to waste, that is for sure. ;). Oh, no worries there, Ember is not the kind to gorge on candies like this, they are not easy to come by on her island, and she knows it, so she is the kind to more savor them little by little over time, to make sure they last. ;).

Oh yeah that's for sure ;)
An island can be very big. And each have their own hazards. Well that's good to hear ;). Well that's good news then :). After all, if it's hard to come by, make it last ;)

Indeed. ;)
Indeed it can, but that's what makes it interesting. Exactly, savor it and make it last, cause no telling when there will be more. ;)
