Many nights have been spent sorting through reagents and herbs, trying to compile them neatly to store safely for later use. Of course, the time consuming nature of such a task did make Lilian a little annoyed. Her playful and energetic nature wanted to find a far better and more efficient way of figuring out how to work through piles of ingredients that had been clumped together. Reading books and asking around her coven did manage to have some success.
Nana would probably advise against such a thing, but Lilian knew to use the spell only in safe manners. The feline was elated having found a solution to her mind numbing issue. As one would with their close friend, the witch quickly got Amethyst to watch how the spell worked. Even though magic didn't work on dragons, she still advised her friend to sit back some. Just in case.
"Watch this!" Lily said, the excitement she showed almost seeming contagious.
With a lift of her arms, placing her palms out, she felt the energy begin to flow through her. Those yellow eyes faded to purple and started to glow as the witch raised her hands slowly. Amethyst watched closely, crouching nearby and resting her head in her hand. The dragoness always found magic unique and interesting but never quite understood it. Either way, she was invested in watching.
"Revelare!" Lilian called out. In an instant, the ingredients in the pile before her swirled and trailed in various colors through the air.
A bit of this and some of that, each reagent found a home to itself, quickly starting to make their own piles of strictly that item. Amethyst's eyes widened slightly as her brow raised. It was incredible seeing the kind of beautiful work magic could create for such simple tasks. The whole process took barely a minute as the two almost sat like statues in wonder. Once the last item dropped onto its corresponding pile, Lily's eyes shifted back to their yellow-orange hue as she smiled wide and looked back to her friend.
"Neat, huh?" she asked, placing her hands in her lap. She was apparently waiting to be praised for doing a good job.
"Very," Ammy stated and pat the witch on her hat lightly. "How does it work?"
"I'm not quite sure myself," Lily admitted, letting out a light purr from the pat. "It kind of does most of it on its own. I just act as a conduit of some sort for this spell. I think?"
There were a few mumbling thoughts uttered between them before Lilian reached over to grab a small sack. Scooping one pile into the bag, she hummed to herself as Amethyst stood up and continued watching over her friend and grabbing other bags to help her put away the new assortment of ingredients.
"Have you ever used any spells against other beastfolk?" Amethyst asked, her mind clearly elsewhere as she glanced over to Lilian.
Lilian's tail stopped it's sway as she froze and thought for a moment. "Not any harmful ones. Why?"
Amethyst smiled softly and shook her head before handing her the last bag and helping her up. The two walked outside and towards the cauldron hut as they talked. It wasn't as though Amethyst was scared of getting spells used on her, seeing as Mountain Dragon scales reflected it, but more that she wished her friend to be safe with anything potentially dangerous.
"Thank you for worrying, but I promise to be careful," Lily stated then glanced at the open door to the hut. "Besides, I've survived plenty of explosions with unstable potions~"
"Uh," Amethyst started, looking worried again before walking after the feline and trying to ask for more detail.
It seemed as though the two got along well. Especially considering how mythical Amethyst was yet she wasn't revered or feared for her story or anything. She was loved as any friend would to another. Perhaps more so considering Lilian could at least hold a conversation with her. A haunted skull and possessed tail weren't exactly the most talkative in terms of conversing.

Dragons may be immune to magic but kinetic energy is still a thing. Lily being adorable as always.
Very true. Though, she's survived plenty and has a friend and more now~
Still, better safe than sorry. One of those leaves in an eye would be very unpleasant
