Decided to give him an actual piece and a name. I will need to think of the title name to fit what his group later.
Regardless of where the act is committed, the Aswadi will know when an individual has broken the Taboos of the Beast and will dispatch a hunter after them. Depending on the severity, a specific amount of feather will be assigned to those that have broken the taboo who must prove their worth and purge themselves of their sins through strength. For each blow landed on or received by the hunter, the dark feather will start to emit a yellow hue, glowing golden when fully lit, signifying that the burden of one sin has been lifted. Only when all of their feathers shine pure will the individual be forgiven.
But in cases when one fail to surpass his trial, the next beloved-in-line of the individual will bear the rest of the burden until the feather can truly shine a golden light.

This looks amazing! That guy got messed up though o.o
I do really like that story concept. It is quite captivating.
He doesn't look like a bad guy. More like one that doesn't know how to do things right. Unable to see between laws of good and evil, just doing his "job" how he was taught to. Despite the pain he causes, one he can't understand.
It's really just a job and how the furry state is governed. You have the local enforcement (Braun) who do the usual thing of keeping people in line and then you have the Aswadi where they handle cases much more severe and taboo breakers. The moment it gets to Aswadi level, it's no longer just guilty or innocent but whether your lives are still worth keeping around or not and most tend to be purged to keep the race as strong as possible in a might makes right society.
The only shred of mercy they have is to give everyone one last chance through trial by combat for those who don't want to fight in court and if they run, a hunter will be dispatched to execute them along with those close to them to punish any sign of cowardice unless they can prove that they are worthy of their sins by surviving the encounter long enough for the feather to be lit up.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. Now I can sleep peacefully, knowing that this society has only one outcome. To be torn from the inside by those who saw how the “punishers” break into their neighbor’s house, organize fights for survival, and after the “massacre” they leave, leaving eyewitnesses shaking in fear that one day they will come for them too. After all, the top decided that their lives are no more worth keeping around. What? Good intentions but hand in hand with “optional (countless other options could be thought of)” blood? Next stop - Hell!Ha Ha!!!
By the way, what happens if the test subject can turn Asvadi into a meat patty (if it's possible) with just a couple of blows? What will happen then?
Landing blows and even killing the hunter are considered proof of strengths. This is a very rare occurrence but when it does happen, the individual often gets recruited into one of the pillars that govern the state.
And brainwashed on the way? No one in their right mind with even a reasonable understanding of morality would agree. Although, if this “someone” plans to infiltrate the ranks of the highest, then of course...
