Arrangement: Sesame Street (Theme)
All of us, I am certain, are familiar with the children's television institution that is Sesame Street; it has been airing since 1969, so 2024 marks 55 years of the program. The arrangement I have done of its iconic theme, however, is for my traditional trio of alto saxophone, vibraphone, and piano, and I based it off a version performed by Jimmy Fallon, the Roots (his house band on the Tonight Show), and the Muppet characters themselves from the show, from Big Bird to Count von Count and everybody in between. The vibraphone solo is where the rap section of that version would occur.
