Been working on this concept for a few months, now. This is what I would do for a sequel and or spin off to The Rescuers Down Under. All of it was spurred on by practicing my John Candy impression and I just built around that. So, we have our new Rescuers: Clary and Dimitri. Clary (Clarice) is the granddaughter of Bernard and Bianca who would have since passed. She has ambitions of following in their footsteps, but keeps getting turned down at every turn. Though, it's mostly due to her rushing into things.
Dimitri is a poor street mouse, living in a run down, remote fishing village, somewhere in Russia. He's a scrapper and a thief. Contrasting the neat and clean Clary, Dimitri is rugged, dirty, and tends to smell like fish.
Naturally, the two are forced to work together in an effort to rescue two children that also have a connection to a past case of the RAS and the two famous mice.
All in all, a fun project. It's been written down in script form and a considerable amount of concept art has been done. This is the first one I've drawn of this duo in color.

Interesting!
Would love to see what you do with them. :D

What I do with them, indeed. They've already had their first adventure together. I'm already getting ideas for a sequel. Getting ahead of myself, perhaps?
Perhaps a little, but as I've said, this will be interesting! :D
Very pretty draw. I bet it was lots of fun getting it drawn.
I cannot do any type of art with traditional medium.

While Jake does get mentioned in the script many times and appears in the opening montage, it is implied that he also passed on with descendants of his own.
Jake jake well i'm known as jake in social media also i did too much roleplay with him but he's not the sweet mouse as the movie , he's a kind of foul-mouthed and whiskey-drinking cranky mouse , and plus , he's not interested in miss Bianca , he feels an atraction for Bernard ( oyy crikey mate ! so fucking hot you are berieh ! ) LOL ....... https://www.instagram.com/p/C4tW2NERPIk/
Out of curiosity, any particular reason for giving Dimitri the late 1800s/early 1900s look?
Partly because I like the look and thought it would suit the character and his environment. He lives in a cold, unforgiving place where most of the mice and human inhabitants are poor. Scrappers and scroungers take what they can get. Everything is part necessity/status and part style. The cap is a family related item that is customary wear. The modified coat is intended for warmth and concealment of various items (including the sharp kind). The shirt goes without saying, but the shorts are for protection against the elements. The bandages were acquired over time, as needed, but were left on to protect his feet. The gloves were a lucky break, but also a good idea to have around. Many of the mice in the village cover their hands with something as a preventative measure. Scrounging and scrapping comes with its own health hazards, after all.
