Alternate title; disillusion of the ego

I dumped this all on twitter so I'm just gonna copy & paste my tweets here:

Wanted to say smth cuz this series is rly important to me, I saw End of Eva in theaters today with a friend. It's crazy how much this series has impacted me since I only saw it for the first time in 2019 when I was still in college. I think the messaging is really important to me in the original series and movie. I've always resonated with the idea that like, "anywhere can be a paradise if you choose to live," and I think that's something that's put a lot of things in to perspective again. Last time I watched this movie I was in a very different headspace, I feel like looking back I was so naïve but that's easy to say when you're older. People always say you get something different from each rewatch of the series and I couldn't agree more. Since the last time I've watched it I had a serious bout of depression where I couldn't get out of bed for a few days. I've also had a bit of a tumultuous beginning of 2024 that I don't want to get in to. I think I really needed to hear that message at the end of the series and movie that you are ultimately the one that determines your own self worth and your own reason for being. I want to be here and I'm very thankful that I am. I'm thankful for my partner, for my family, for my friends, and for you all 💙
