I've been once again having fun coming up with armor designs for my catfolk, this time for a Northern warrior, coming from the great mountain ranges in the north-west of the continent. They usually live in small tribes, city states or fairly small tribal coalitions, and their economy is mainly based on herding different species of cattle, as well as trading with neighbouring kingdoms from outside the mountains, to whom they usually sell timber or precious metals and stones.
They are known to be pretty fierce warriors, and even the Empire of Sirath, the largest catfolk state on the continent, had to face severe resistance when invading their lands in the past. In the areas they managed to conquer, the Northerners have been granted special privileges as well as a place in the Empire's most elite troops.
Ironically, after the invasion of the Empire of Sirath by a coalition of human kingdoms, it was mainly the Northerners who managed to hold onto the Empire's farthest territories in the north-west, while the eastern part, including the capital itself, fell. This part of the Empire, known as Upper Sirath, is still independent.
I'm currently working on a map of the setting, so hopefully I will soon be able to finally make the geography a bit more clear! XD

Those CHEEKS, I CAN'T 🧡🧡🧡
The design elements like the stylish helmets with the ear holes are very well thought of. Love your work on it all!

Gurkha vibes, when empires realize it's a bad call to fuck with you due the the vast damage you will cause XD Any victory would be pyrrhic at best
My furry side enjoys seeing your art and reading your stories because it is such a deeply fleshed out world of antropomorpic animals you've created. And the geopolitics nerd side of me enjoys them for the sheer amount of detail you put into the politics and factions of your world.
Either way, its a great piece ^^

This guy under his fur looks like he is as hard as a brick with his muscles...
Also interesting take on anthro helmets.

Wow, so cool, can't wait to see next drawings (maps, armors, characters, etc.).
Fierce (and fluffy) kitten. :3
Just love your armor and clothes designs. Always gives me great vibes of the Glorantha's RuneQuest setting, and that's a big plus in my book. 👀

Nice work on the head gear, I think I like that idea better than overhead shields.
I absolutely love the wide variety of designs you have produced for the various factions and races in your setting! And showing them change over time to adapt to new technologies and their environments! It shows you really care about this setting :3
Stripy cheek-ruffs-pretty! It's good to hear that some cat-folk are still fighting the good fight against the hairless talking apes. ;)
