"Damn it, Iggy! Can't you stop stuffing your craw for two seconds?! You're gonna blow our cover!"
"*hic* Now is that any way to talk to your twin brother?"
"Don't pull that 'brotherly aura' crap with me! You know what happens when you stuff yourself silly during this time of the year!"
"I can't help it. There's just so many delicious greens and veggies around. It'd be rude to not help myself."
"And look at what that's doing to ya! You're so fat that your now instinctively ovulating! I had to hide four eggs in the past hour... all of which came from YOU!"
"Not my fault that my gut turns into living egg factory at this time of year. It's how we were made..."
"Only because you keep fattening yourself up-- Did you... did you just lay ANOTHER egg?!"
*looks down to see an egg underneath his flab* "Heheheh... well whaddya know?"
"Sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph..."
So after snacking on some Easter themed M&Ms, I got the inspiration to make two more Easter Bunnies! After all, I've got a pink one and a blue one... and a secret green one that I'll introduce in a second; what's two more?
Meet Iggy & Izzy, two twin Easter Bunnies that have long since fulfilled their roles as Easter Bunnies millennia ago. Iggy, the purple one, is rather laidback and prone to fits of gluttony, especially during the spring months; while Izzy, the yellow one, is the responsible one, trying to make sure his brother takes his role seriously. They both at one point shared the job of laying Easter Eggs into the world for the masses, but after their role was done, they've since gone into hiding from the world. Which would be easier if Iggy didn't keep raiding gardens and shrubs for greens and veggies!
This is especially troublesome during the spring months as for Easter Bunnies who have fulfilled their roles and are freed from their burden, they are now prone to a more natural ovulation cycle, one that is based on food consumption. You see, during the spring months, a former Easter Bunny will start displaying gluttonous tendencies and devour any food it can find. This will then follow a long stretch of lethargy and laziness as their bodies process the excess calories the only way it knows how: by ovulating new Easter Eggs that may or may not be fertilized. Much like bird eggs, the more the eggs stay incubated by an Easter Bunny not tied to it's role, the more probable that it'll hatch into a young Easter Bunny... which is problematic because unlike normal rabbits, Easter Bunnies are incredibly high maintenance and don't survive long in the wild. Hence why Izzy is adamant about Iggy not stuffing his face every chance he gets to avoid being tracked down by potential predators.
In any case, that's their story and I'm sticking to it. Maybe they might meet Ester and Bon-Bon in the future... who knows?

So… in your mind with the five you’ve created so far, is an Easter Bunny’s diet restricted to just grasses and vegetables?
For the most part, yes. However, they're fairly okay with sweets although the empty calories are murder on their waistline. Meat is an absolute no go.
