This looks very authentically retro! I love your taste for pixel art, not many people manage to keep it simple yet nice looking. This particular one's style reminds me of some PC-88 games.
Thank you very much for kind words ^///^ With pixel art I really like EGA pallet :3 Commodore 64 has also nice pallet, but for now I want to master EGA x3
I've heard of PC-88 system, but I have more of the knowledge about DOS and C64 games :3

Great to hear you know these platforms! EGA has nice colors which are just enough to have a good variety of colors for everything you need and still keep it retro looking, also EGA graphics use regular pixels so it makes it good for beginners. Commodore 64 is awesome but it needs some learning to get used to if you want to make it authentic as it has a lot of limitations like its minimalistic muted 16 color palette, double width stretched pixels and no more than 4 colors for a 8x8 pixel square if imitating multicolor mode graphics. I did some C64 pixel art myself but after some practice and learning the specifics of old platforms. Even DOS with its CGA colors is much simpler because the only limitation it gives you is a very limited set of 4 colors, other than that it's easy to use.
Honestly I know very little about PC-88 and other Japanese PCs myself, just saw several screenshots occasionally and the amount of dithering in them resembles your artwork above.

Oh, I didn't know that about C64 :o So that would explain why often in those games characters were wide :3 But I'll say that those muted colors of C64 pallet are so pleasing to eyes x3 (I hope my nostalgia is not making me fill it like that :P )
Oh yes, the dithering x3 This is the reason I love pixel art :3 The ability from limited colour pallet to make more colours x3

Right, wide pixels is pretty much a thing of the most 8-bit home computers from the 80s like C64, Amstrad CPC, Atari 8-bit family computers, Apple II and such. Many people don't notice that as well as other limitations and so their attempts to imitate a certain aesthetic often lack authenticity. I had such problem myself but thankfully I just applied C64 palette to some of my pixel art thinking it's enough to make it look athentically Commodore, although these experiments weren't posted anywhere so I avoided this shame, then I realized that simple color swap is far not enough.
And don't worry, I'm sure it's not just nostalgia because technically Commodore64 palette concept is very smart. With such limited set of colors it allowed to create very natural looking realistic gradients impossible on other computers of the same time. This is one of the reason why C64 became such a hit and formed a whole cult.
I highly recommend to try Multipaint if you haven't heard about it yet, it's a very useful program made by a real genius which makes working with authentic pixel art in a style of several retro PCs much easier.

I'm gonna keep that in mind if I start playing with C64 pallet :3
I always liked in C64 games when it was depicting night settings :3 Colours were giving this mysteriuos vibe x3
Never heard of this program :3 Thank you for a suggestion ^^
