Welcome back to another Gun Day Sunday! Continuing the character profiles but this will be the last one for a bit. I want to go back to regular Gun Day Sunday for some time. This was still fun to do and will do it again later for more characters. Ending this batch of character profiles with my brother and his Arsenal that I've drawn many times now.

Interesting that your birthdays are so close.
Also, I completely miss read the last two sentences wrong and missed the "." and I thought the sentence was "His traditional values are reflected in his accent when he speaks he can be found in the kitchen..."
I had a bit of a "Oh no" moment, "where's this going?" but then I realized I might have missed something when its talking about eating or cooking while listing to Chinese opera, and only then I realize I miss read the sentence. Both relieved and laughing. Thought someone was going to get hit with a spoon.
Dyslexia can be fun, it added unnecessary tension.
I don't have much to comment on the get up this time, its simply cool.

If you can believe it, all of my siblings and I share birthdays in October! Haha! My parents were just very consistent.
Oh no, you've given me a terrible thought of them just having a precise schedule.
"Honey, its January, time to prepare for the next kid!"
"Oh shoot, I almost forgot, thank you for reminding me."
Honestly, I could see my own dad doing that if he could have his way on the matter.
But all terrible jokes aside, that is actually really cool all your siblings share the same month.

Ya know, I'm surrounded by peeps from all walks of life/corners o' the globe (Country/Ethnicity/etc.), and w/o exception every family (That I know of. There's a few I've yet to meet.), is an avid firearm/hunting type. When we get together for our weekend shoots, or scheduled hunts, of course we're always talking about things.
One thing I think far too too many younger peeps fall for is the 'Latest is GREATEST' fad. Not saying modern firearms or the developments therein are bad. Not by a LONG shot (Imma huge fan of stainless steel and the application of synthetic stocks for instance, just to name two.).
We've got a few of those, and it's fun watching them go off about all the details/functions/etc.. Hell who doesn't get something 'New' and then want to show it off/brag about it? Fun, fun, fun!!!
Doesn't mean they themselves have yet attained the skills to push those new tools out to their fullest potential! (And that's even MORE amusing to us Oldsters!).
One thing I'm an absolute fan of- Dependability. For that, I'll turn to the 'Old/Out-dated' platforms every damned time. Also being a fan of the K.I.S.S. concept, all those fancy lights, lasers, high-tech optics (Illuminated reticles ARE damned cool, I'll admit!), have at 'em!
Papa's M1 with iron sights?
If I only had ONE platform, that would be it, hands down!
P.S.
Now, to see Mr. Herrara's AK-50 put through ITS paces?
;-P

Yes! Just because something is old does not mean that it is bad or even obsolete. A knife from 200 years ago is still a knife. There is a good reason why my brother owns several of the same platform just to have at least one that is as simple as it gets. No electronics. No rails or attachment support. Just irons and stock furniture. Wood furniture is simply gorgeous too.
Your choice of preferred rifle is *chef's kiss". Let no one tell you that it is out for the count. Those rifles still smack targets with authority.

When I inherited it, I had a good Gunsmith go through every last piece, restore/fix (Replaced a couple of small things, pins mostly), but when he asked about the wood stock/fore-end, I told him to leave all the scratches/dings, 'cause I knew Papa'd earned 'em when he carried the thing. Little personal stories I'll never know, but I can sure wonder about!
We did strip off all the old built-up wax, (Carefully!), and then reconditioned it.
I take it out at least a couple times each year, put it through its paces (And piss off my shoulder in the process!), then lovingly clean/maintain it, and set it back till next time.
I got ahold of enough of those Enbloc 'Clips' and a few bandoliers for carrying 'em (Kee-riste, that pkg. weighs a TON all by itself!), and pray I NEVAH have to actually lug it all through any jungle! (Just, ya know, shoot me first, and end the misery faster?)
