Notes and Thanks
Phew!. This story turned out to be a total of 60 chapters, even though I had originally expected a maximum of 40-48, but wow, how much fun I've had writing this story. I could have chosen to have chapter 48 in three parts but it would still have been the same number of chapters.
This story was first called Gothenburg's worst disaster and it was perhaps not such a bad title, but I think that the title dragon life tells a little more about what it is about. I got the id for the first title when I read another person's story so maybe it was a good thing I changed the title.
This story has changed over time and even in the time I've posted it online. It was really only the characters Hasse and Madelene and Robert that I wanted to include in the beginning, but then other good characters appeared that I wanted to include. Including Olle and Liselott. At the beginning when I started to introduce Olle, Liselott didn't exist but he was in love with another person called Beata and things happened between them and I have thought to post that story later.
It's called "Olle & Beata" and since I chose to change a lot of things about Olle, that version was never complete, so I will only present the chapters that were finished before I changed everything and added Liselott. But I'm not going to present that story now, it will come in another post where I have an intro and present everything.
Speaking of characters, I realized quite late in the story that I hadn't given the Åby taskmaster a name and I felt it felt a little bad to leave him anonymous so I gave him a name in the end. It happened a little late but I hope it didn't do anything.
I have also used some real people in my story such as Markoolio, Lotta Engberg, Bert Karlsson, the music group Kite and Håkan Hellström. Some of the songs that Håkan Hellström sings in the story are real, while others are made up. A character in the story is based on a Youtube influencer called Jocke Lundell but I have changed where he lives. Jocke lives in Norrköping and not in Gothenburg in reality.
Shortly after I had introduced Liselott and Olle had turned into a dragon, I felt that there was a need to make some kind of timeline in the story that I could follow. This was partly because I didn't want to repeat the same things over and over again and make the story boring. There was a while when I found the description of when the dragon queens laid eggs and the eggs hatched too repetitive so I changed and shortened the descriptions unless something special happened during the egg laying or hatching.
Some readers may wonder why the dragons get diarrhea when they eat kebabs. The answer to that is that they cannot stand the spices and cooking fat in the kebab. None of the animals that the dragons normally eat contain any cooking fat and spices. It is simply a slight weakness in their digestion but it is not fatal to them. They just poop a lot. It might be a bit silly to describe when the dragons poop, but I know there are many readers who like that kind of thing, so that's why it's included. Do I like poo myself? Well, it might be a little fun, as long as it doesn't become too much. The fun has to be mixed with some seriousness as well.
The descriptions from inside the dragons' bellies are included because I know many people like gore and vore and I am no exception. It's hard to describe the feeling from inside the dragons' bellies but I've tried and thought about how it would feel to be swallowed alive by a dragon. They would definitely have big bellies.
The dragons in my story are so-called European dragons because I like them best. Wyerns are also popular after "Game of thrones" but I like four-legged dragons the most. The dragons in my story breathe fire but Olle spews liquid fire in an early version of the story and the fire is more like lava but I then changed it because it didn't make sense that his fire was different even though he is a transformed human.
Each dragon can communicate with many different sounds and different facial expressions just like us humans do but of course the humans don't understand the language of the dragons but I have let them talk sometimes and write their conversations as if we humans could have heard them and understood what they are saying.
Each dragon is an individual and I have tried to show that by, among other things, they lay eggs at different rates. When the dragons later give birth to live dragon babies, they do it differently too. Some of the dragons make noise when they give birth while others are silent.
Some dragons are real troublemakers and cause a lot of problems for humans. Some dragons get sexually aroused when they see things on fire and they are of course based on how pyromaniacs probably think.
The Hugo cave where Hasse falls down in the first chapter is in reality in Åby and it is really huge but there are no dragons in it. On the other hand, it has been used to hide home-made liquor in, so that part of the story is taken from reality, but the names of the people and the year when it was discovered have been changed. There wasn't much news about the booze hideout, but most people who lived in the area then and still do know exactly when it happened.
There is an old mine in Åby but I have exaggerated the size of it so that the dragons will fit. I visited the mine myself when I was a child and it was very exciting, but it feels small now. Several other caves and mines in the story are made up by me and do not exist in reality.
The water park with swimming pool at Liseberg is based on another swimming pool in Gothenburg and the water park with pool itself is added in the story and does not exist in reality. The cave that several people in the story hide in on Liseberg does not exist in reality, but several other attractions and places do exist in reality. Liseberg is a very nice park that I can recommend to tourists visiting Gothenburg.
The house by the Avenue where Olle and Liselott live exists in reality but has a different color and is located in a different place on the Avenue than in the story, the Park that I mention also exists in reality. The house that Hasse and Madelene live in is also in real life but I have changed how big it is and some other details. I know two people who live in that house but their names are not Hasse or Madelene.
Well, then it was time to thank some people. I'll start by thanking those of you who have read or are reading the story even if not many have commented on it. You don't have to comment on it if you don't want to. I hope you enjoy it.
Of course, I have to thank my partner Katrin for her comments on various things in the story. She has been allowed to read each chapter before I have posted them to the public. Katrin and I enjoy being together very well, even if we don't always agree on everything. Katrin has served me coffee when she has noticed that I have needed it.
I must thank my family for their comments on the story. They have made me think in different ways than I did from the beginning. Therefore, I have abandoned some things that would happen in the story, but I think it is positive. Mum is probably the one who has had the most ideas and comments.
I must of course thank Henrik and Olle for their incredible humor and funny comments about the progress of the dragons. The real Olle is completely different from the one in the story. He thought it was funny that a character had the same name as him.
I have to thank Pierre for the fun discussions about dragon poo. There have been many laughs when we have talked about the dragons' poo. From the beginning, they pooped even more, but I toned it down a bit.
Of course, I have to thank Fredrik and Mats when they showed me what it looks like on a defense base and if the decisions of the defense characters in the story are believable. It wasn't really possible to answer because there are no dragons, but they thought most of it sounded believable.
I must thank police officers Adam and Gert for their input on various matters.
I thank Martin who works at my job. He is really a good colleague and we have discussed my story during lunch breaks. Thank you for listening to my idea and coming up with interesting suggestions.
Thanks to Sofia at Borås zoo who showed when the giraffe gave birth to a large cub. It was really cool to see up close and it gave me inspiration for when the dragons give birth in the story.
I also have to thank Patrick G who unfortunately is no longer alive. RIP my old friend.
Yes, that was probably everyone I wanted to thank. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.
Now I leave the land of dragons and start with a completely different story (except Olle & Beata but that will be a little extra bonus).

It's a wonderful feeling to finish a story. Congratulations.
Thanks. Its been a funny ride. I,ve been thinking about if i have become a better writer while this story has evolved. Honestly i,m not sure but i hope so. After the biggest chaos the dragons do i have concentrated on relationships and other stuff as well. I hadnt done that at the start of the story.
The only thing that i feel is not completely belivable in my story is how often the dragonqueen lay eggs but at the same time it was a good idea to create many dragosn fast.
In afterthought the story could have been over several months or over a year to create lots of dragons but i still felt it worked quite good with the timeline.
