A new day and a new round of shenanigans! Silver seems to be settling in nicely.
Been busy catching up with commissions this week but we still managed to get this one out.
Time to go stare at the sun!

How can you have a good confrontation when the other person gets you off on the wrong foot by being nice!
Thanks for saying! We've been trying to get more creative and varied with their outfits. Clothing is a big part of personal expression and each vixen has her own style.
That's it, I ship them.
I want to just see them on screen together more.
And let me make something clear: I don't ship fictional characters at all, I've only done it with one other pair through all the hundreds of stories I've gone through, and that's it.
I kinda only care about who's with who if it helps make a good story/being entertaining to see, after that, I don't care. Here, I want to see them because while it would accomplish that in my meaningless opinion, but also because it would be cute to see the dynamic.
Is Sliver's personality and body type basically the definition of the type of woman I'm highly attracted to? yes. Is Red just a type of character I find adorable to watch get into scenarios while also kinda having features I find cute? yes. Did I use these aspects to make a joke to myself about shipping them because it made me laugh? yes.
However, my biases don't matter anymore, now I just want to see them as a genuine romantic couple out of sheer liking how their personalities can fit and how adorable it can be.
Good job, you made me ship two more characters in my life, and I'm only in my early 20s. Mind you I enjoy romance subplots, because I like what it can tell about a character's uh... character, and not so much for the romance it self, again, good story matters most to me. So to make me want the couple out of sheer wanting to see the romance it self develop, is genuinely impressive to me. Good job.

Hah! What an honor. ^_^ I'm glad we could create characters and a story worthy of your praise and shipping. A big part of this was us wanting to develop characters that feel natural while still being interesting. After that, the story kind of just develops on its own.
Okay, now, you have me intrigued on the writing process too.
So how architect vs panster is the process? or in other words for those phrases: how much gets planned vs what's kinda made up on the spot?
Like if you had to give a percentage for them?
Hay might as well ask while I'm here, been trying to do my own comic for awhile now, curious to see the process others have, and what I can learn.

I'm not sure how well this works for other types of stories but for a slice-of-life comic like this, it's very character driven. Before we even started drawing the comic, we came up with the characters. In addition to their visual designs, we decided how we wanted their personalities to be. It was a good six months of brainstorming before we had a basic idea down for the main characters. Fun fact: Silver was designed along with the other five from the beginning but we decided to delay her appearance until later.
Once we had the characters established, it was just a matter of thinking of scenarios and how each one would react in that situation. From the simple everyday life events like going grocery shopping to the wildly outlandish like going on a treasure hunt. Knowing how the characters would react to the event and each other basically writes the story for us. Within these various events you get the in-between stuff which is what you see in comics. Like Red has to go to the hardware store to get some supplies, that turned into eight pages. Most of the events and situations in the comic are based off of real life experiences and observation of ours.
I don't know how much insight this offers or if this satisfies the questions but it's pretty much our process. On the more technical side, albeit far from professional, we have a shared doc where we write down any random ideas that come to mind. As we need the ideas, we'll pick from among them and create a layout for a comic page. Then comes the rough sketch, add the speech bubbles, refine and line the sketch, color, shade and done.

That actually brings a lot of insight, and overall helpful to learn from, thank you.
Awwwww. 💜
Really love that outfit too, cargo pants/tank top on ladies is a super underrated look.
