The PRO is that you have less computer on the net to spread viruses and turned into malicious network to perform DDOS and money mining (like bitcoins)
The CON is that they push tons of useless cosmetics and "features" that you can't decline. Just like the last one which turn off the software you installed to be able to custom you interface just the way you can do in XP, a simple thing like moving your taskbar is now a licence usage violation.
And most annoying is the updates that takes years to download not even let you to know the size of the update and the speed of the download, I'm sure they'll soon remove even the % as it's useless to estimate the remaining time of the update (note that they didn't show it to you either)

my phone gets hit with the CON too many times. One update and it installs like 5 different apps, at least 2 are games that I have no interest in playing.
I have anti virus, I do not need to update the operating system to keep virus's at bay. More often than not, after an update I get surprised with one blue screen of death, even when this PC was brand new, it was always something that was updated that caused the error too. Last one was so terrible it broke Office, which I don't use. It created a domino effect that took out my ability to watch Twitch, YouTube and even discord itself was being forced to reload every hour or so.
