Sometimes taking advantage of silent dialogue is powerful
The reintroduction of color in this page is absolutely beautiful; the jaded gray exterior giving way to the real forlorn living underneath. Sharing that pain to someone who earnestly cares finally allowing his real self to come back to the surface.
The first two panels showing the emotional transition from unsurety and hesitation, then confronted with the beautiful light from his childhood happiness--You captured so much with such simple panels. Sadness, need, relief, surprise, longing. And you illustrated so well that it just washed over Fekkri by surprise.
The instinctual hug, followed by Arvie returning it and supporting Fekkri's tears. A validation of his pain that let's him move forward, something he hasn't been able to do on his own. The single tear running down his face tells so much.
The finally, that nod. You really portrayed that this is something sacred to Fekkri, that he wouldn't and hasn't allowed anyone else to do this--And maybe that they had never even asked. It finally makes him feel seen, recognized and validated; not just the parts he shows to others, but all of him. It's vulnerable and beautiful.
This brought me to tears. The other pages have all been amazing, but this one really hit hard after the prior pages. Incredible work.

This would’ve been all for naught or worse if not for the magical sobriety and thank you very much for that. Go you, Fekkri. You deserve this and it’s sweet and wonderful.
For sure! That was a huge sticking point when this scene happened canonically; they were both already kinda dancing around each other, but it felt important that when they finally started making moves, they were fully lucid so there wouldn't be any doubts in the morning!
(Also worth mentioning that for Reasonsâ„¢, lucid consent is extremely important to Fekkri)
Wow, without the context of the last 11 pages this could be the start to something sexy, but instead I know it's going to be the start of something intimate and tender. I love that. Sex and kink are fun but a comic like this is sometimes what we need without realizing it. This scene must have been awesome. It happened in a tabletop game?
It did! This happened in one of the first campaigns I played in, where Fekkri comes from!
