MOUSED (a mouse transformation story)
What you are about to read is a story about a man who hated mice and wanted them dead but after spending some time as a mouse was able to see things through their perspective enjoy
There once lived a man that had a mouse infection so huge in his house that he spent 100s of dollars buying mouse poison traps, and he even adopted two cats in hopes that they’d eat the mice infecting his house. Well, unfortunately, for our unsuspecting man, all this overkill angered a spirit that had inhabited the property that the man’s go was on. And so, the spirit decided that the man needed to see things from a new tiny perspective. So, one day, the man was setting the traps and poisons up when he started feeling ill. Then, a strange blue fog surrounded the man. “What’s wrong with me?” he thought. Then, suddenly, we see him shrink very fast. Then, all we see is his clothes laying on the ground, looking like he’s vanished. But then, a little head-shaped object pokes up from inside the shirt and slithers to the neck of the shirt. And we see a cute little mouse come out of the shirt, and we hear it squeaking adorably as it looks confused. And it turns out this cute little mouse is actually the man who was transformed into one. And the spirit talks to the man-turned-mouse and tells him about his crime against the mice. And that the only way to turn back into a human is to have compassion and understanding for the mice. The man is, of course, understandably upset. But fortunately for him, he doesn’t really have to worry about the poison pellets and the traps he set up. He more so has to worry about the two cats he adopted who, now in his new mouse form, will most likely try to eat him. And unfortunately, right when he steps out of his clothing, one of the cats spots him and says, “Oh look, a little treat. I was feeling a bit peckish.” And the mouse says, “Oh wow, I can understand you now. That would be so cool if I wasn’t so scared right now.” Then, the cat attempts to take a bite of the mouse, but he narrowly dodges it and runs into a nearby mouse hole. There, he finds the other mice, the ones he’s been trying to kill, but they have no idea that this mouse is actually the evil human that’s been trying to exterminate them. So, they welcome him in with open arms to their colony, which is filled with 100s if not 1000s of mice. And they all rally up for a plan to take down the evil cats and also the evil human, having no idea that the evil human was literally the mouse that joined their colony. And basically, the rest of the story is basically hi jinks ensue with the mice trying to take down the cats along with the newcomer who eventually they find out is actually the human. So, they banish him from the colony just as soon as he was starting to befriend them. But then, in a final confrontation with the cats, the transformed mouse is eventually cornered between a wall as he calls for help. And as the cats open their maws about to tear up their prey, another mouse from the colony swoops in to save the transformed mouse. “Why did you save me?” he asks. And the other mouse replies, “Rule one of the colony: never leave a fellow mouse behind, even if that mouse used to be human.” But unfortunately, even a whole army of mice can’t defend themselves against two cats. And one of the cats says, “Aww, you think you can stop us? You bunch of puny mice! Oh man, my brother, get ready, because we’re about to feast tonight.” But just then, the spirit returns. And after seeing the love the man has for his mice brethren, the spirit returns him back to human form. Now, the cats look scared, looking up at the naked human. And now, the human says, “Oh man, it looks so weird looking down at you, considering just a second ago I was looking up at you.” Then, he grabs the two cats by their collars. They try hissing and scratching at him. And the man says, “I know what to do with a couple of vicious cats like yourselves... and oh man, I should probably put some clothes on first.” Then, the man takes them back to the pound. And he tells the mice, “You know, I really felt like I was a part of a family when I was in your colony. And so, I'm gonna do something I never thought I'd do.” He asks the spirit to change him back into a mouse. And the spirit happily agrees, turning him back into his mouse form. And so, now they all live a happy life together as a colony... until a new family moved into the house,
