``And that, dear Spunky, is why one should never carelessly fiddle with the Gemini Medallion!''
Fiddling around some more with new downloaded brushes and I wanted to try one that I thought smoothed my lines in a way I liked. So what better to do than use crowd favorite Weird Situation Victim, Spunky the Kangaroo? I feel like the lines are pretty good here overall, smoothed out without losing personality and not too thick but still able to vary in line width as I need.
Anyway please enjoy a bit of body weirdness and conjoinment and an actual facial expression and my trying to make Spunky's paws more interesting.
I'm very lightly lifting the 'Gemini Medallion' name from some ancient, pre-FurAffinity(?), piece of conjoinment art. I'm sure many people have done something with a similar idea. It ended up looking very like something his mom would wear. Not sure if that's where he got it from.

Playing with new brushes is always such joy.
Then you end up going back to the five you always use. :P
The 'Gemini Medallion' does sound familiar, but I can't place where.

That has happened a lot of times, yes. But I'm feeling good about the calligraphy brush here. I think it's got a nice blend of being pretty smooth even for my shoddy direction and letting me vary the weight some.
I think I've got a lead on the 'Gemini Medallion' origins. I want to say it's connected with a multifur/conjoined character with a name like Ara'Karath who was around on FurAffinity a decade-plus ago. I think they might have been Australian? Had some fun shenanigans with their two-headed character splitting into two persons and merging back together with the medallions manipulations?

Oh yeah, that was an object used a lot in Ara's IAPW comic. Either with Ara splitting into two, or the daughter Wai, splitting into a fully wolf and a fully dragon version since she was a mix of the two parents. I forgot all about that. That probably was what was reminding me of it.
In A Perfect World, that's it! Yeah.
Sad to report that while the site http://iapw.comicgenesis.com/ is still up and running it only has the very short-lived 3.0 version that was mostly following the World Cup. I guess there's links to Velar archives that possible archive.org could recover.
