I draw spicy kink because it's fun, that's all. But sometimes I feel this way, and I wonder, "well, is it working???" lol

Heck if it helps Chu it's the box that drew me in. Spicy stuff is just a nice bonus
Thank you so much for your kindness and support over the years! I am glad that the spicy is a nice bonus, because I get worried about ostracizing people, too. But it's all in good fun~
A friend of mine introduced me to Skin deep long ago. Whom i assume was introduced to it by a familiar jakkai in the community.
We can blame Ehks for that one most likely :P
None the less. wholesome spicy is good spicy

Xena is so well known that people have come up to my table at cons and said that Rhea looked familiar... because they were thinking of Xena XD Small world!
They do tend to get around! I still think its funny that Rhea and Xena got confused for each other all the time
Haha, "spicy stuff" is what I call my mature, kinky artwork. But fire bee honey is good, too!
nothing suspicious here, I wonder if I move fast enough I can get it without getting caught.
update: got caught :/

I followed for Slightly Damned, your comic is awesome and a huge inspiration to me ^_^
Also, I wish drawing spicy stuff attracted attention to webcomics like that TwT;

Thank you so much!
Yeah, lol. It would be nice if most of the people drawn in by the spice decided to then sit down and do an archive binge for all the lore and character development... but I think they're two different flavors, y'know? I think it has worked on some people, though XD

Oh yeah totally, I get some folk are just interested in one kinda art more than the other and that's totally fine :P
At the end of the day, my webcomic is me being inspired by stuff like Slightly Damned and Homestuck and deciding to tell my own story, regardless if it builds even a fraction of the following either has ^_^
On that note, thank you for making Slightly Damned; your stories, characters, and artistic journey really have been a huge inspiration in my own works over the years

I found the comic through someone posting your spicy stuff on reddit, so it worked for me
Welcome to the hive.
Jk its actually pretty chill you just wait for the next piece of art or until Saturday for the next comic page.

Joke's on you, I found the webcomic first. Been reading since... around when the village caught fire? A bit before, maybe?
I'm an avid Webcomic reader, I think I've been reading Slighty damned since before they left the hells.
Spicy stuff is a big bonus!
Though lately, I feel like I've missed out on Rheas 'official' transformation into a snake. It's not happened in the comic yet... No?

Rhea's snake form has been shown in the comic in dream sequences and as an "aura" that she exudes. But other than that, she has not officially turned into a snake.
I look forward to the canon snakey interactions! Rhea is by far my favorite character.
Oh it absolutely works, because as soon as I finished reading it, I read it over again XD
Oh my gosh, that's wonderful! I hope that reading the comic a second time felt rewarding. My favorite stories are the ones that are not only enjoyable the first time through, but on subsequent reads/watches, so that's what I want Slightly Damned to be, as well.
Plus, reading through it again, I was able to understand a lot more stuff (double checking and all), mainly understanding why death wasn't a "demon" for lack of a better word
Been following you in one way or another for over a decade and I'm not about to stop over some spice.
As a bonus. I'm into that!! ;)

In that case, you are most welcome! Thank you for enjoying my art, both spicy and non-spicy! :3
I've read some and have been aware of slightly damned and many other "furry" webcomics for far longer than I've been spicified. I doubt the vast majority of the people that reads SD will care if the spicy content that doesn't really show anything in the modern sense is shown, especially if it is non canon.
Thankfully, you are totally right. Most people are either indifferent or welcoming of my spicy output, as opposed to being down on it. After a bad experience during a bad time in my life a few years back, I worried that being open about kink would get me and my art run off the internet. But those were irrational fears. I'm really glad I decided to start sharing what I make because it's made me feel a lot better at myself, and has made several of my friendships feel a lot closer.
The webcomic is in my top 3 out of many that I have read, I didn't find the spicy until way later. Keep up the great work!
To be fair, the spicy didn't start until way later anyway XD But I am very happy to hear that you consider Slightly Damned to be among your favorites! Thank you!
huh maybe I should draw more spicy stuff involving my webcomic
Only if you genuinely enjoy it! I don't actually think this is that effective of an advertising strategy, haha. I'm just having fun drawing what appeals to me, even if it's weird.
I draw spicy stuff myself. (I got side accounts for that) I've had ideas (plus my comic is adult oriented). I just never got around to doing them.

*birb hop-hops into the box for vorish snuggles*
Like I said before, I already knew and loved the comic, so "spicy" was a welcome discovery. X3

Thank you! I am grateful that my spicy stuff is seen as a welcome bonus. It's fun to draw, and thanks to your and others' kindness, it's fun to share, too!
I am here for the comics surrounding the adventures of:
- The Demon Bean, Buwaro
- The Headpat-Worthy Angel, Kieri
- The Most Chaotic Character of the Trio, Rhea
Rhea Tailsnake looks like she will bite us.

Hah! I was totally drawn in by the wholesome kink, and now I keep looking at your comic while thinking "I should read the comic too... but omg 1,000 pages?!"
Haha yeah, I know that is quite a big archive... this is exactly why I started posting pages from the archive almost daily on my tumblr, Bluesky, and Twitter. But as of posting, this, we're already around page 750 or so, so I'm not sure how much that would help in your case XD
fwiw, here's the archive page on the main website: https://www.sdamned.com/archives The comic is split into parts/chapters, and if all else fails... there's a very quick summary of the story at the bottom of the page that is totally up to date. You can understand the broad strokes of the story in ~1 min lol

I've certainly been enjoying your webcomic for years and years now and your dipping into spicy stuff is just the icing to the amazing cakes you've already been baking!
And here's to many more years of wonderful content from you!

Aw, that's such a fun way of putting it. Thank you, Lager! And thanks for being my sempai in spicy stuff! I look forward to seeing more from you, as well. :3
Hah! Jokes on you! I've loved your adorable dorks and gremlins since Rhea first showed up in hell!
You're old!!! (and so am I!) Thanks for sticking around for so long!
Sorry to say, but I've been reading Slightly Damned since before they even left Hell...oh gods that was almost twenty years ago. I was in high school. I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL TWENTY YEARS AGO?
Okay before I go have a "where have the years gone" breakdown, I only found your work here by happenstance fairly recently. But to all those discovering you for the first time NOT through your comic, I would HIGHLY recommend it. It's really quite excellent, a favorite of both myself and my sister's.

I know exactly how you feel because I was in high school when I started Slightly Damned! The initial happiness followed by existential dread and then plateauing with acceptance when Slightly Damned turned 20 felt a lot like what happened when I turned 31 (not 30, for some reason). I really don't know where I would have ended up if I hadn't become obsessed with telling this story, so I'm really thankful for your support. Thanks for the glowing recommendation!
It worked for me. I saw the spicy stuff with plushie Buwaro, wondered where it was from, and suddenly found myself binge-reading 900 pages of the webcomic within one night. However, I really love the characters, and I also love seeing the amount of improvement from the first pages to the newer ones. You've made one of the best webcomics I've ever read to date, and that's saying something as I read many.
Wow, cool! The spicy stuff was truly an unexpected development for me. I was strictly a SFW artist ever since I started posting art online, which was years before I started my webcomic in 2004. I was really shy about sharing it at first, but everyone has been really cool about it, and I'm grateful.
And thank you so much for the kind compliments! I'm really glad that you found the comic enjoyable enough to read through so fast! Sometimes I worry that the old stuff is too old to be enjoyable, but I have to remember that I also enjoy watching the art of other artists evolve over time. It's a feature, not a bug!

was already on board, then this was a VERY welcome surprise and i absolutely love how you depict the mushy/passionate dynamics
