Darrell was in hot pursuit of Ravage. He spotted him with his minions near the canyon.
He was attacked by a large soldier wielding a machete. With both his knives, Darrell managed to defeat him.
He took the machete and charged after them.
Darrell came to a rickety wooden bridge, directly over a large chasm. Hundreds of feet below him was a raging river that flowed into the estuary. He could see Ravage at the other end of the bridge.
Darrell took a deep breath and stepped quietly onto the fragile planks.
Just as he reached the halfway point, he turned back to see several soldiers armed with knives and crossbows.
Darrell was about to make a run for it when he saw Ravage standing silently at the end.
He smiled menacingly at Darrell. "Surprised you've made it this far, mate." he said. "However, it doesn't seem likely you'll make it any further."
Ravage pulled out his knife and slowly stepped down towards Darrell. His minions followed from behind. They too were armed.
Darrell looked back to see the other minions approaching him. He realized he had been ambushed.
Darrell raised his machete high in the air, ready for whichever side to strike.
Despite the tension rising within him, Darrell knew he had to think fast. Time was really running out.
Wrapping his leg around one of the supporting ropes, Darrell looked over at Ravage who was dangerously close now.
"Any last words?" he asked with a malicious smile.
"Yeah," said Darrell smiling back. "See you in hell," as his machete came down hard on the bridge.
In shock, Ravage backed away. "Retreat!" he cried.
The bridge snapped in half and collapsed, sending several minions plummeting into the river far below.
Ravage, however, managed to hold on and climb up onto the cliff. As did Darrell.
But when he reached the top, Ravage and his remaining minions were gone.
"I know you're out there," he growled. "But I'm not slowing down for anything. I'm coming for you Ravage!"
Putting his machete aside, Darrell continued on his pursuit for the murderous crocodile, knowing he was still within reach.
