Cats have fur & water makes their fur feel heavy, kind of like when you jump into a pool clothed & then try to run, but worse.

Anyway, this is a beautiful piece. I really like the colours & the details. It's so pretty !

Haha yes I agree, I just wanted to draw my character in a beautiful light rather than as a towel full of water! Let's say she's protected herself from the rain by the leaves!
