CW: Depiction of Death
A soul has shuffled off this mortal coil, greeted by the guide to the afterlife Anubis.
This was made for as thanks for letting me adopt the alien rats from an earlier storyline of theirs.
I had originally planned for this to be a greyscale picture, but I realised that it's something I probably need more practice with.

Least it was a peaceful passing, and his soul looks clean ^^

This put tears in my eyes since a family relative I didn't know very well passed away just 2 weeks ago..
I'm sorry for your loss.
I apologise if this has brought up any unpleasant memories.

It's quite alright, honestly. As I said, I didn't really know them all that well, but it's still a regretful loss all the same.
When I realized the blue guy was actually someone's soul, I was genuinely surprised.
Damn, I have no idea how you did that, but it looks awesome! ^^
(and of course, let's not forget our friend Anubis there)

When you are making a digital image you can paint the soul in a separate layer and then make that layer semi-transparent.
Changing the transparency of your layers is often used when shading or adding highlights to an image but it works for getting effects like this.
