The immense vixen lay on the urban landscape as one might a field of grass, a small smile on her face as she glanced around. It was fortunate today was a quiet day, but there was still the matter at hand - literally as her fingers tapped on the ground to signal she was waiting.
"Ryan, it's Evalia... you can't keep hiding in the building." Her voice sounded more amused than annoyed, a smirk crossing her muzzle. "You lost the bet, it's time to pay up." From down underneath her shadow the rooftop access of a building opened and a human quietly stepped into view. Most people at this scale difference wouldn't be able to hear each other properly, but Evalia was not most people.
"Fine." He sighed and held up a small slip of paper - a dollar bill in local currency, but still a pittance compared to the property damage caused by her presence. "I honestly thought you were joking, since you don't have money."
"On the contrary." A finger twirled in the air, shadowy tendrils taking hold of the paper carefully. "I now have twenty dollars."

This was a pleasant surprise, and I'm grateful Ryan thought of me for this gift!

I'm rather curious as to what the bet might've been, Kereminde. I mean, Jen and I've come up with some fascinating ones but I'll let you, Evalia and/or Ryan tell your tale, if you'd care to share it and reckon enjoyment of the telling.
And by the way, I got down to reading Bad Moon Rising (Schwarzmahnne) for the first time in more than twenty years in hardcopy, a full-length transhuman-cyberpunk novel that was a gift to me alone from its writer to do with as I please, a friend of mine I knew a long time ago. A lot of familiar faces therein gave me the clue, and I'm quite sure about who I saw there.
I mean, Ayre Ravenscroft, a terribly superintelligent, vulpiform genetic construct with a taste for blood and fire, the hungers of a titaness and apparently part of a hidden family of fifty to a hundred other unregistered-IP TAGC recombinant fox-women who tip-and-nod in apology to Gundolf at the end of all things?
And you're right, you or anyone else would not likely have known this if I hadn't mentioned it to you. Going by the context I know, which is all I have. That's good enough.

I like your clevers, goodbean Kereminde. I shall await living witness from afar of your responsible pleasure, if such things might be shared!
And if not, I'm sure I can come up with some imaginative combobulations, in draughted doodle or writ. I have a very good writing teacher, you see, a very good creature, you see.
