Just to add something, this style feels so viscerally important to me because it's one of the kinds that inspired me to create when I was a kid. There is this series of books that I don't even remember the name of as a kid, but I am sure they were European. I think it was a group of kids solving mysteries, and the reason I thought it was European is they use a 24-hour clock and there was a lot of train travel. And there were illustrations like this, with pen and ink. (I remember reading it in the 1980s and that's about all. Don't remember anything else).

Thanks a lot! I can't remember a story like that, but this kind of black and white inking is the one i saw in many stories of my childhood. Starting from the Italian disney stories, to many other youth comics. I've never been very keen with inking, I don't have a steady hand, but digital helps a lot in this...
