In The Rain - (Commission)
Peace, in the Pokémon world, was all too often taken for granted. Generations of veteran monsters of various skills and abilities were the backbone of a civilized society. Their roles of keeping the peace constantly thanked by multitudes of wild mons was part of the reason new age recruits signed up to do their part. Humans, the good ones anyways; surprisingly helped out in keeping the peace in a substantial manner! So much so, that two veterans found themselves assisting in the graduation exam of this generations newest and largest class of dungeon divers. Their task? Sit in place for a rescue team to find and locate them.. A bit of a boring task for an infiltration/hostage rescue unit such as themselves, but with such advancements of peace.. They did not complain. It was a fine time to finally see their generational efforts pay off, and being able to assist in passing the torch in any way was a fine pass time!
"Hmm.. what generation are we on now, I wonder?" the Blaziken male would ask his comrade, his hand holding the umbrela given to them by the academy instructors to keep them somewhat dry in the rain. "Mmm... I dunno.. Ninth if I recall correctly." the Lucario male responded, his eyes closed in a dreary expression as he kept telepathic communication to the academy instructors on when the exam would begin. And it seemed it began now! "Ninth!? My the time sure flies.. How this years' class looking? Any notables?" the fire chicken would inquire, a sudden shudder of cold rushing over him before he'd increase his body heat. Making their wet feathers and fur dry up the moment the rain water fell onto them. Using his physic powers, the steel dog looked into the mind of the various instructors of the academy to get a glimpse of every classmate this year. Only.. well.. to not really know the mons by memory. Or at all. "Mmnnnn... green cat, white/blue duck, and a red croc seem promising.. Don't ask me what they are tho." the Lucario would answer the curious bird. His expression seeming more and more out of it as the generation gap became more daunting to them both as time went on.
Giving a soft chuckle, the taller male leaned forward and pressed his beak against the head of the blue dog before resuming his position. "Feels like it was only 5 years ago we've had this same conversation! But I am happy to see the record number of recruits this year. Makes our roles less required." the veteran mon commented, resulting in a soft nod from his fellow vet. "You right." the psychic canine agreed. His psychic powers turning off the moment he felt the new recruits getting close. Which, in turn, resulted in the muscled bird to tone down his heat to untraceable levels. Leaving the mere sounds of rain and thunder to sound around them. The rescue test has now begun! How will this newer generation fare? These two veterans were most eager to find out~!
