I can imagine! I've had a couple stories where I was waiting for a friend to review them before I posted them, and it drove me nuts sitting on a post-ready piece. I also watch my wife squirm like crazy when a commissioner takes forever to reply on whether or not they want any changes so she can post the picture and be done with it.
If you really get into it, a trick another fur taught me is get a vinyl cutter for your patterns. Its soooo much nicer to just cut vinyl rather than using paper templates.
Hell even if you're gonna manually cut out templates, I'd trace it on vinyl and cut it back out. Its made my glasswork like 100x easier than it was before.
