Hey there, everyone!
I swear, my follower count was still somewhere in the mid-800s last I checked. So imagine my surprise when I checked it a week or so ago and noticed that the follower count on my page hit the four-digit mark outta nowhere! Totally threw me for a loop!
I thought to myself: I gotta do something to celebrate! So, I decided to get myself something that I’ve wanted ever since FurAffinity made them a feature: a profile banner!
After asking around for artist recommendations,
KJBat offered her services and the end result is what you see before you today! Big thanks to her not just for creating the art, but for being patient with me, making sure to include all the details I lined out and putting up with my nitpicking during all the WIP stages. She was a joy to work with and I encourage you to commission her or support her on Ko-fi if you are financially able to.
I’d also like to thank all 1,000+ of you for giving my stories and commissions your attention. Ever since I stumbled upon this site over a decade ago, it’s slowly become a huge part of my life. It’s helped me explore a number of different facets of myself and has introduced me to a ton of amazing artists and writers. I wasn’t very active at first, preferring to just lurk and stay anonymous. However, as I continued to watch the community grow, I wanted to contribute to it in some way, just like the artists I followed.
So, during my college years, I tried my hand at writing fanfiction. After all, I wanted to be a screenwriter back in high school and had taken a creative writing course or two. It should’ve come naturally to me… except every time I got to writing, no matter which character from which media I choose, I drove myself insane trying to make sure they were as in-character to their respective canon as possible. So much so, that I never got any stories finished.
So I made my own characters, and set them down in my own little slice-of-life canon, heavily inspired by my own experiences living on Long Island and attending university. Pretty much every character I wrote, even the background ones, was based off of someone I knew from college. I commissioned art of my sona as well, mostly of it having him running around naked like the uninhibited exhibitionist I wish I could be, which got me the attention of a fair number of fellow exhibitionist furs, and a few nudists as well.
Through them, I met and befriended even more people in the community, including fellow writers
nyapolitan,
wellifimust,
neko-eclipse17, and
MonFA, all of whom have been very encouraging and supportive of my writing endeavors, offering proofreading and advice. Some of them even let me write for their characters or collaborated with me on certain projects. Thanks to them, my stories have gotten longer and better structured. And alongside my stories, I’ve been able to commission a ton of amazing pieces of Pat, Perci, and the rest of the gang, from plenty of talented artists, like my friends
Ultilix,
AaronDrawsArts,
Frist,
Kaboozey,
Flyper, and
DianaDoggo just to name a few.
That being said, I can’t credit this milestone solely to the artists I’ve commissioned nor to the writers who’ve helped me improve, because that would be neglecting the 1,000+ of you that stumbled on my page and appreciated what I wrote. You all have given me nothing but love (and the occasional constructive criticism). Heck, some of you love Patrigue so much, you’ve made fan art of him. I’ve even gotten notes from some of you telling me that my stories encouraged them to visit a clothing-optional beach or a nudist resort for the first time. Honestly, it still surprises me whenever someone refers to my words as an inspiration.
So, thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you for following me and I hope you’ll continue to follow me and read what I have to offer.
Carpe fucking diem,
Patrigue
